As Daniel Rodriguez settles into fall camp at Clemson, the nation is continuing to learn about one of the great stories of the year. A war vet who earned a bronze star and purple heart in service, Rodriguez has realized his goal of playing college football. The story just begins there. Nearly a year ago, we at SouthernPigskin.com named Rodriuguez our "2011 Person of the Year", the second edition of the award. We were honored to be involved with Rodriguez, at that time, with a number of different events. We were fortunate enough to spend a few days with the American hero and get to see his efforts firsthand.
As a staff, we would like to congratulate Daniel, along with his family and friends. The Tigers have added a great person, and football player, to their roster.
