Pigskin Fantasy U brings a fun new twist to college fantasy sports – a league that allows you to draft entire teams to create your roster.
DALLAS, August 1, 2012 – We around SouthernPigskin.com are very excited to be launching Pigskin Fantasy U, a new College Fantasy Football concept where you draft teams instead of individual players.
Traditional fantasy football can be tough to play on the college level – there are more than 124 FBS teams and many people are only familiar with the top handful of players. But today’s launch of Pigskin Fantasy U (PFU) brings a fun new twist to college fantasy sports – a league that allows you to draft entire teams to create your roster.
For example, in the first round of your draft you might take Alabama or USC. And in the late rounds you might take long shots that could come up with some surprising wins. Just like in regular fantasy football, you can trade teams or pick up free agents as the season goes on.
“It’s the perfect combination – the fantasy fun of making every game meaningful but without the nerve-wracking experience of researching a backup running back or wondering whether your guy is healthy enough to play,” said Brad Miller, president and founder of the newly available PFU.
As for scoring, the simplicity is beautiful: you get points for each win. That’s it.
PFU will reside at www.PigskinFantasyU.com, where you can start or join a league. When you start your own league, you set your own rules regarding the number of teams each person drafts, whether you play a head-to-head or one-vs.-all format, as well as many other options. The live, online draft feature lets friends and foes alike join together from far away places.
“I can’t wait for football season to start,” said country star and PFU Celebrity Commissioner Darius Rucker. Rucker, a University of South Carolina graduate and avid Gamecocks fan continued, “Watching games on Saturday is one of my favorite things to do and adding Pigskin Fantasy U to the mix is going to be awesome. My buddies and I needed another reason to talk about football and trash talk each other,” joked Rucker.
Another fun aspect of this league is the satisfaction of ending the college season with a true champion.
“There may be no real playoff in college football right now, but every single week of the season has the feel of a college hoops bracket with so many teams to cheer for,” Miller said. “But at the end of the season, only one champion per league is left standing.”
For more information about the league, or to schedule an interview with Miller, contact Abra Garrett, PFU Media Relations, at 214- 476-9208 or via email at email@example.com.
Pigskin Fantasy U, Inc. was officially formed in January 2012 and is a registered C-Corporation based in Dallas. PFU’s roots date back many years and are built upon a UNIQUE concept developed by Miller and played offline with family and friends around the world.
