Pittsburgh's Tom Savage threw for six touchdowns over the weekend.

ACC Offensive Player of the Week: Tom Savage QB, Pittsburgh

Pittsburgh picked up its first ACC road win Saturday behind the accurate arm of starting quarterback Tom Savage.  He finished the day by completing 23 of 33 passes for 424 yards and six touchdowns, which tied the ACC record.

ACC Defensive Player of the Week: A.J. Hendy DB, Maryland

Hendy was responsible for forcing three turnovers for the Terrapins in the win against West Virginia.  He recovered two fumbles and intercepted a pass that was returned 28 yards for Maryland’s second score of the game.

ACC Special Teams Player of the Week: Jamison Crowder WR, Duke

Crowder returned a punt 82 yards for a touchdown, which cut Duke’s deficit to two points.  He would return two more punts in the game and finished with three returns for an average of 36.3 yards.

ACC Coach of the Week: Randy Edsall, Maryland

It is four games into the 2013 season and Edsall has already matched his team’s win total from a year ago.  Vast improvement has been made by the program, and a possible postseason bid is clearly within reach.

ACC X-Factor of the Week: Georgia Tech Quick Turnaround

The Yellow Jackets have started 2-0 in the ACC with wins over Duke and North Carolina.  However, preparation must begin immediately as Georgia Tech welcomes Virginia Tech, its third straight divisional opponent, Thursday night.  The winner of this game played in the ACC Championship Game every year until last season.
