At 6'4'', 275 pounds, Ejiofor fits the professional prototype.

A number of dominant defensive linemen have come through the ACC in recent years, a tradition that will continue to be on display in the upcoming NFL Draft. Among the prospects set to be selected is Wake Forest end Duke Ejiofor, a talent with both impressive production and potential. He finished his college career with a place in the league record books; Ejiofor recorded more tackles for loss than the likes of stars Calais Campbell, Luke Kuechly and Chris Long.

At 6'4'', 275 pounds, Ejiofor fits the professional prototype. The foundation, as he was clocked at 4.53 in the forty yard dash and recorded a 39-inch vertical leap in high school, is clearly in place. Additionally, Ejiofor, a constant disrupter, brings an energy to the field that goes well beyond his measurements. A special mix of attitude and awareness make Ejiofor a savvy defender that demands constant attention. Given the system, he could even bring some valuable positional versatility.

Over the last two seasons, Ejiofor has compiled 88 total stops, 31.5 tackles for loss, 17 sacks, five pass deflections and four forced fumbles. Standout performances include 3.5 tackles for loss versus Florida State in 2017, three sacks and a pair of forced fumbles at Duke in 2016 and 2.5 tackles for loss at Notre Dame in 2015. Ejiofor, as an upperclassman, helped the Demon Deacons to bowl wins over Texas A&M and Temple. This past fall, Wake Forest ranked seventh nationally, ahead of the likes of Alabama, Georgia and Virginia Tech, with 106 total tackles for loss.

Perhaps slightly undervalued due to recent surgery to repair a torn labrum, Ejiofor is poised to be an immediate next level contributor. He, after a five-year college experience, is ready for the difficult transition to the NFL. Expect Ejiofor to find his way onto the field, regardless of where he is selected in the upcoming draft. Ejiofor, whose last name fittingly starts with "Edge", has everything you look for in a high-round pick.

Ejiofor, above all else, is a playmaker, a point that the tape proves time and time again. Whether with his combination of size, speed and strength or with his instincts and motor, Ejiofor simply finds his way to the football. There isn't much that this dominant defensive lineman can't do. Not many in ACC history have been quite as good.

In a draft class full of talented defensive linemen, Ejiofor has earned his own top billing.
