Ranking Mitch Trubisky's five best college games at North Carolina.

On a night where he was first quarterback taken at second overall by the Chicao Bears, here are quarterback Mitch Trubisky's five best performances from his time with the Tar Heels.

1. vs Pittsburgh, September 24th

Trubisky's poise and proficiency was on clear display as he rallied North Carolina back from a 13-point fourth quarter deficit, culminating with a game-tying 2-yard touchdown pass on the final play of the afternoon, in a 37-36 win over the Panthers. In the comeback, Trubisky set career highs with 453 yards, the second highest-total in program history, and a record-tying five touchdowns. The Tar Heels' now-famous final scoring drive was a 17-play march, one where Trubisky converted three 4th-and-longs, in addition to the thrilling last-second touchdown.

2. at Florida State, October 1st

Arguably the performance that boosted Trubisky's national profile the most, he completed 31-of-38 passes for 405 yards and three touchdowns, rushing for another score, in a dramatic 37-35 triumph in Tallahassee. Trubisky was especially-clutch against the Seminoles late, responding to a game-tying touchdown from Florida State by going 5-of-5 on the ensuing drive and taking the lead with a 34-yard touchdown pass with 2:31 to play. After the Seminoles went ahead with just 23 seconds remaining, Trubisky promptly moved the Tar Heels into position for a game-winning field goal. The victory snapped Florida State's 22-game home winning streak.

3. vs James Madison, September 17th

Statistically, few signal callers in the country had a showing quite like Trubisky's home debut. He was 24-of-27 for 432 yards and three touchdowns, compiling a quarterback rating of 260. Trubisky set school records for both yards per attempt (16) and most consecutive completions in a game (18). That afternoon, he also had two scoring passes of more than 70 yards. North Carolina compiled 635 yards of total offense and was 7-of-8 on third downs.

4. at Illinois, September 10th

In addition to throwing for 265 yards and two touchdowns, Trubisky ran for two scores, both in the first quarter, the only time in his career he reached the endzone multiple times in the same game. He was 19-of-24 through the air, averaging eleven yards per pass attempt. Such production resulted in Trubisky's second-highest quarterback rating of the season.

5. at Virginia, October 22nd

Trubisky was incredibly-efficient against the Cavaliers with 310 yards and three touchdowns on 24-of-31 passing. Two of those scores were on throws of 46 and 40 yards, respectively. The 77.4% completion percentage was Trubisky's highest-mark ever in an ACC game.
