If there is one thing that we should take away from Florida State’s easy win over NC State, it is that there is no glaring weakness for Jimbo Fisher’s squad.

The college football world has been wondering when Florida State would finally play like a team that lost a school-record number of players to the NFL Draft this past offseason. It also has been wondering when freshman phenom Jameis Winston would succumb to his “freshman moment”.

Well, college football fans, prepare to ponder those things for yet another week.

Winston was characteristically efficient against NC State on Saturday, completing 11 of his 14 attempts for 229 yards and three touchdowns.

Oh, and that was just in the first quarter.

The Seminoles led 35-0 at the end of the first 15 minutes, and went on to another easy conference victory over the Wolfpack (NC State experienced almost all of its success after Florida State's starters were removed early in the second half).

After defeating No. 3 Clemson by 37 points on the road last weekend, there isn’t a team in the country playing better football than Florida State right now.

The Seminoles once again displayed on Saturday, in a game where Florida State honored Bobby Bowden for the first time since he ended his coaching career, that they are strong in all three facets of the game.

Florida State will once again find itself in the national spotlight next Saturday when College Gameday comes to Tallahassee for the Seminoles’ contest against fellow undefeated team, and hated rival, Miami.

If there is one thing that we should take away from Florida State’s easy win over NC State, it is that there is no glaring weakness for Jimbo Fisher’s squad. It is also very apparent that this Seminole team has the championship mindset and attitude necessary to bring home the hardware.

The opening line has not yet been set for next Saturday’s matchup, but based on what we have seen from both of these teams this season, it is safe to assume that Florida State will be a comfortable favorite.

And rightfully so.
