The class includes two former southern Heisman Trophy winners – Miami quarterback Vinny Testaverde and Florida quarterback Danny Wuerffel. Testaverde won the Heisman back in 1986, while Wuerffel took home the hardware in 1996.

NC State tailback Ted Brown, the all-time leading rusher in ACC history, and Kentucky end Steve Meilinger were the other ACC and SEC representatives in the class.

To qualify for the Hall of Fame, a player must have been a first-team All-American, have played within the past 50 years and be retired from professional football.
