Former Florida State quarterback Clint Trickett took to Twitter on Wednesday afternoon to announce that he has decided to transfer to West Virginia.
“It’s official, I will finish my academic/athletic career at WVU,” Trickett said on his official Twitter account. “This is a dream come true to be playin for the state I love. #CountryRoads”
Trickett is set to start up classes a little later this month, and will be eligible to compete for the Mountaineers’ starting job right away due to his status as a graduate student. Junior Paul Millard and freshman Ford Childress are the other quarterbacks expected to compete for starting job which was left vacant by Geno Smith.
