God Bless America and Country Music

Here’s to you! You’ve heard it a million times: There’s nothing more American than country music.

And where better to celebrate it than the Country Music Capital of the World? This July 4th, The Band Perry and Keb’ Mo’ will be headlining in front of the Nashville Symphony at the Let Freedom Sing! performance downtown. If you can’t make it out, it will be featured on GAC at 9pm ET. 

In other celebrations around the country, Tim McGraw will follow in Kenny Chesney’s footsteps at the Macy’s Day Parade in New York City (8pm ET, NBC).

Scotty McCreery, the young fan favorite, is performing on the National Mall in Washington D.C. (8pm ET, PBS)

And if you’re hoping for a change of pace, VH1 is broadcasting the Philly 4th of July Jam featuring The Roots and John Mayer.
