]]>FSU president Barron makes it clear nothing has been decided yet. One of his major concerns is travel for other sports than football. It is clear that other teams who join the big 12 will affect this. So it seems imperative that a teams in the south already are important, teams like Clemson, Miami, GT, Maryland, Louisville.
WVU is already on board and that helps. I don’t buy all of this as Syracuse, Pittsburgh and Boston college are not exactly a hop skip and a jump either. He is concerned about having some schools to play close by.
The buyout fee of 20 million is also a concern, as FSU is not a wealthy school by any means. The University of Florida played football for 50 years before FSU even began.

If the ACC does not appease it’s top money makers, then the ACC as we know it will be changed forever. But will the rest of the conference swallow it’s pride and do the right thing? I’m not so sure.

I sent a note to Barron and got the canned response…
Then I responded to that and got this:
“You make some good points, but they depend on speculation – for example, what makes you think Clemson would move?”
Which I then responded to again. Haven’t heard anything more back.
Has his email been hacked? Bud got any media contacts like Corey Clark that can ask that question of the right person at FSU? Someone in FSU’s press secretaries office or something like that? Has Barron’s email been hacked or are these responses legitimately from him?
