Obama’s excessive use of Executive Orders and Trumps overstepping his authority are more of a reflection of how very fucked up Congress has become.  Neither side is allowed to worked together..Or Else!  It’s not healthy and if the Legislative Branch continues to act like the future President will continue to grab power or the Courts will continue to legislate through the laws.

Well, unlike you I will actually complain about the party I vote for when I don’t like what’s happening.  I have a feeling the Roberts Court might rule Trump’s actions are not Constitutional and I would be fine with that.

It’s an interesting Constitutional discussion. The legislation passed by Congress clearly gives the President the power to declare a national emergency. The flaw in the legislation is that it doesn’t define the criteria for a national emergency, it just gives the President the power and describes how it would end.

The situation at the Southern border is getting really bad.  Over 100,000 arrest last month.  That’s the size of a city like Albany NY.  They are catching people from all over the world using the Southern Borders because everyone knows how to game the system top claim political asylum.

It would seem that stopping Mexico’s southern border would curtail a lot of this.

I wonder how far this will go before it stops?  It seems to me that there is a force promoting these caravans of migrants come in to the country.  I suspect some entity from within the US is behind it. I could make a case where both side of the political aisle could be creating this to gain national attention.  The left could be trying to overwhelm Trump and the right could be pumping this to creating national concern to change opinions.

It’s absurd that this problem still exists on this scale. It’s been decades that the parties have been unable/unwilling to address this.
