I usually don’t like to talk about such upsetting stories, but this one is sticking with me.  I guess having a daughter the almost the same age makes it a little more personal.

I’ve used Uber a few times and my daughter uses it and as I recall, my phone showed a photo of the driver, the car have “Uber” identifications on it and the type of vehicle the driver has was shown.

This is sure an eye-opener to blindly trusting such services.  If you have friends or family that uses these ride share services I hope you share this tragic story to be aware of your surroundings.

This was a horrible story. I feel for her and for her family - what a horrific situation. Even if you make a mistake and approach the wrong car while you’re waiting for Uber, what are the chances the person is a killer with supplies in his car for the evening? So sad! Stories like this do make you worry for your own kids.
