For all of the crap this season got, including what I gave it, I thought it ended great.  It closed out like it should of IMO.  Fast still yes, but it was the closure I needed.  Closure for the stories, yet still some open lanes for spin offs.  I feel satisfied at the least.  I think the only 2 other big shows I got that feeling off of were Breaking Bad and Sons of Anarchy.

The two characters I latched onto in Season 1-2 made it to the end and did their thing.  Bran and Arya.  I would love to see a side story of Arya traveling the world.

I think Jon going with the wildlings was great, knew he couldn’t go back to the watch.

I realized when the music started playing as they all went their separate ways that I’m really really going to miss this.

It’s going to take me some time to process everything.  Even having read the leaks that turned out to be correct a week ago, watching them play out was still different.  As of now I don’t like how several of the storylines were completed.  Most of this is due to a season (or 2) that is too short to allow longer and better plot development to proper allow some of the majors storlines to unfold.  For Example, Dany in just a few episodes when from this person that was special and going to be almost a messiah to the 7 Kingdoms do a Pro-Wrestling Heel turn so fast that if was annoying.

About the only storyline as of right now I am satisfied with is Arya.  Even she said screw this and left!  LOL.  Anyway, I have read where HBO has 5 potential spin offs on the boards and perhaps the adventures of Ayra has a chance if the Actress wants to do that.

This is going to be one that will be debated for a long time to come.

I thought the last season was evidence that these writers were very good at converting Martin’s books into TV shows…but not so good at writing their own series.

I was very disappointed by the ending. I enjoyed watching every episode but I agree with many who felt it a big letdown. Still an excellent series that is one of the best of all time.
