What a tragedy to history. To think of the things this place has survived in the last 850 years to go up in flames by what appears to be a construction renovation mishap.

Regardless of religious beliefs, places like this are time capsules to the past and it’s so very unfortunate to see it destroyed.  But it also serves as a reminding that nothing is forever.

Seriously though this is terrible.  Can you imagine the guilt for accidentally (hopefully) burning down a priceless building likely filled with priceless art?  yikes.

Yeah, that would be horrible. That’s the kind of thing that follows your family for a long time too.
