Why is the speaker delaying sending articles to senate? Is it confidence? Is it a lack of confidence? She is hamstringing presidential candidates in senate. They will be in chambers during Iowa caucus. They will be working six days per week per senate leadership. This could have been avoided. Just not a very smart move.
The Democrats have a lot of problems. They can’t even get AOC to pay her “fair share” of dues. Funny how a socialist like that money once they have it. The Iranian situation is working to Trumps advantage, the Senate trial is going to cut into the candidates campaigning for the Iowa Caucuses.
Well, the House appears to finally be getting around to transmitting those “Urgent” Articles of Impeachment tomorrow conveniently after the Debates tonight. Let’s see, we are going to have a Senate trial during the Iowa Caucuses, the NFL Playoffs and the President and Commander-In-Chief gets to deliver the State of the Union address on February 4th.
Says the yuckster for the folks who can’t even get their story straight on how many embassies were threatened and when the decision was made to attack an “imminent threat”
These folks lie when there isn’t even a reason to and no one was asking for one…
PT Barnum had you pegged.

Well played Nancy!
Whew…just in time… It was clearly an urgent matter.
I don’t think holding the Articles or the timing is a benefit to the Dems. They still have it for their ads for the 2020 campaign though which was the goal.
I actually read the article for a change and couldn’t stop laughing at Pelosi’s reasons to delay this “Urgent” Constitutional crisis:
First, she hoped to pressure Senate Republicans into accepting Democrats’ requests that witnesses be called in the trial.
Second, to allow the public time to see further “documentation which the president has prevented from coming to the Congress”
Finally, Pelosi suggested that the delay helped create a contrast between Democrats in the House and Republicans in the Senate.
After 3 years, tens of millions of dollars of investigating, the House dragging witness after witness (while selectively withholding certain people from testifying) before their committees how many more witnesses do you need?
These 3 “reasons” are weak at best and for you to use these to score points shows just how little ammunition you have left to take out your President and Commander in Chief. I just hope you aren’t on duty.
To be clear, I am not responding to you. You’re not qualified to have a discussion. I am responding to the Vox article which was comical. Continue talking to air as you have been for weeks.
On my final post for this thread this image sums things up. Nancy Pelosi commemorative pens. Perhaps this is why it took 28 days to get the articles of impeachment to the Senate. The pens and not come in.

Unreal - let’s all commemorate this moment where we’re doing something we’re really sorry we “have” to do. We’ll also brag that we’ve done something that will always be there as a stain - but it’s solemn.
Dems in senate trying to bring new evidence, because the know the House did a sh!t job. Problem is, senate has republican majority. Whine, cry, scream, it matters not. I find it funny the GAO had to release Trump broke rule today. Just like Clinton did, Bush did, etc.. It seems the deck is stacked. Oh well, Senators will take time, keep candidates in the chamber.. no cell phones allowed. Six days per week of impeachment sessions. That is 100% Pelosi’s fault. This entire thing is dumb. Real trial will be in general election. We’ll see how that turns out.
