We all know about it.  Just waiting a few days to take it in.  He was the mastermind behind the US Embassy in Baghdad and was returning to rally the troops.  While this was a legitimate military target is was a good old fashioned assassination.

Every once in a while these people like to poke to bear to see what will happen.  This time it didn’t go so well.  With this being an election year I suspect this will continue.

The Sabre rattling is ramping up. I wonder if Iran is wondering if the “retaliation” that they are planning is going to be worth the response the President Trump has warned?  He’s also indicated that cultural targets can be used.

Iran shoots a bunch of missiles into Iraq where US Forces are and apparently no casualties.  Also, an passenger plan flying out of Iran, coincidentally crashes at the same time missiles are being launched.

Iran is just trying to save face at this point. They’ve poked the bear one time too many and are looking for a way out.

Iran had to do something. It’s definitely noteworthy that they didn’t hit some other bigger targets and that there were no casualties.

The President and Commander In Chief has just made an impressive speech giving Iran an “out” to save face.  It was both forceful and diplomatic.  Iran had to have warned Iraq the attack was coming because Iran has precise missile technology to hit those bases if they wanted too.  Iran gets to go on TV and boast whatever propaganda they need to say.

Trump has also left all options on the table if Iran continues it’s Nuke program or terrorism activities.

This has the potential of being yet another Trump political victory by using American power to shut down these sabre-rattling dictators.

As Lindsay Graham said last night after speaking with President and Commander In Chief Trump that if they continue they will be out of the oil business and that will severely hurt their already hurting economy.

I’m glad to see a strong but tempered approach.
I saw that we had intercepted chatter and knew it was coming. I’m glad nobody was hurt and hope Iran will pursue peaceful strategies, but I’m not sure how likely that is.

After watching the various news shows, the Democrats are pissed that Trump did not escalate the situation.  They are still trying to stir the crap up but the button line is Trump punched these regional bullies in the nose and dared them to take another swing and they folded..

Trump will now start calling the Democrats and the liberal press Iranian sympathizes and absolutely brand them with a title they are not going to shake.

Yep, that’s exactly what happened. Now he’s set to put harsher sanctions on them. I guess the fears of getting us into an all out war weren’t on target - kind of like the market crash predictions when he got elected.

Now that Iran has admitted to shooting down the Airliner, the people are out in the street protesting the Iranian government.  Wouldn’t it be interesting if Iran’s government collapsed because they shot down a civilian aircraft by accident.

The Democrats have been uncharacteristically quiet on ranting about Trump’s taking out of Gen. Qassem Soleimani ever since the Iranian people have taken to the streets protesting their own Government rather than the US.

One day that government will be brought down, but unfortunately, they’ll brutalize a lot of protesters along the way. Hopefully, they’ll get some real traction.
