Biden is off to a good start.  The South is good to him.  What’s happens west?

Bloomberg is getting hammered as is Warren.

Big night for Biden! He got some life after SC and rolled last night. The establishment Dems are rallying behind Biden and really trying to get rid of Bernie. It’ll be interesting to see if any others drop out now. Warren probably needs to, but who knows what she’ll do.

What a turn of events.  There are so many things to discuss based on the outcome of Super Tuesday it’s going to e something.

Is this a rejection of Bernie’s Socialism or is this just a case of people getting behind Biden to take Sanders (and Bloomberg) out?

Biden won several states where he didn’t visit or run ads.  That is something!

How will the radical Bernie supporters feel?  They tend to be somewhat militant and if they feel everyone ganged up on Sanders (which happened) will they take their marbles and leave? Possible.

If I were Bidens handlers I would keep him off of TV and rallies as much as possible because his gaffes are getting worse than normal.  He actually projects a diminished mental frame.  That’s going to get exploited.

The real question is can either of these people hit the threshold to avoid a brokered convention?

As for Bloomberg what will he do?

Notice how all those who recently dropped out backed Biden. Some thought he’d look out for them if elected. I think it was at the direction of the DNC. They can say what they like, actions spoke in 2016, and actions will speak again. Sanders will not give up. Biden will not either. Will it be a contested nomination like last time?

I think it was a combination of things - rejection of Bernie’s socialism and knowing others would reject and it he wouldn’t do well in the general election.

I don’t think it was a big concern about Bloomberg. It seemed that Bloomberg was a bit of an insurance policy in case Biden fell apart. They wanted a more moderate candidate than Bernie. Once Biden won big in SC and Bloomberg didn’t look good in the debates, all the support went to Biden.

It may well end up as a brokered convention.

All the power players want Biden to be the nominee, and I’m sure there was a lot of pressure applied for people to back out and certainly to back Biden. They want to get Bernie out of there.
