I cannot believe how dirty this Presidential race has already become…both side are exploiting children, parents of dead children and anything else they can use to pull at the emotions of the voters…

Just for the fun of it, what if we had a Presidential selection committee that is set up similar to the college football playoff committee that could select a top 4 comprised of one Democrat, one Republican one Libertarian and one “Open” for the committee to choose.

They would have to debate 4 times (one in each region of the country) and in November vote.

I wonder who the candidates would be if a committee could be formed to evaluate and select a candidate (that would volunteer to be considered)based on merit rather than popularity to be presented to the voters in the General?

My top 4:

John Kasich: Republican

Bernie Sanders: Independant

Democrat:  Cory Booker (I don’t know about Dems..just a guess)

Rand Paul: Libertarian

These 4 would probably offer some pretty robust debates if they were mandated to stay on issues and a loss of time would be invoked on any personal attacks..

I like your Cory Booker choice and your Kasich choice. I agree that Sanders is not a Democrat too. Good pick.

Rand Paul is a Republican and disappointed the libertarian community when he kicked off his presidential campaign in front of the USS Yorktown and spouted Republican talking points on abortion and supposed religious freedom bs to cover homophobia. No real libertarian is for that BS.

Why don’t you just use Gary? What’s wrong with him?

I really thought about choosing Gary, but I tried to think like a selection committee would.  Rand and Ron Paul are really Libertarians that work in the GOP.  I don’t have a problem with him but as I said, this was done in the eyes of a hypothetical selection committee making these choices

Been off a few days bot on the road again so I’m back…

Ron Paul I will give you. Rand not so much. You can’t be for overturning Roe v Wade and be a libertarian. Having the government involved in the most private of decisions in a woman’s life is not Liberty. It is the epitome of big government.

Gary and Bill are the best libertarians we have had since good old Michael Bednarik….everybody’s favorite. Lol.
