I’m not a big basketball fan. By not being one has really shown me how big of a name Kobe Bryant was.  Truly a global superstar.  It’s never a good thing to see people die before their time and it’s doubly tough when you add children into the situation.

That’s very sad. I can’t imagine being there with your child and knowing you couldn’t protect them as it was happening.

I’ve seen and read where Kobe would send videos or visit sick kids. He insisted on no media. He would send videos to kids about attitude/nerves/work ethic. etc at parents’ asking with nothing in return. I know he’s done some bad things, too. It just seems after his mistakes he tried to put his life in order and did a good job. The world will miss him for a while. I feel so bad for his family, and the other families affected. He’s not the only dad and daughter to die on that helicopter. Just sad all around.

A great wife, two wonderful girls, and an ever improving golf game. Gray hairs not withstanding!
