Bawhahahahah…you think reminding you of the POS freeloader you are makes me upset? Nah. You give yourself waaaay too much credit. But again, you are a Trumpster so reality and objective truth are not your strong suit.

Your wife is the one that said you were getting upset. You acknowledged it as your reason for your absence. I’m just looking out for you. Hang in there until she takes your electronics away again.

Thanks man. I appreciate that. Aren’t 80s movies great? Dirty Dancing is right up your alley.

I’m more into the cool kids films than what the women watch though. Come to think of it, that explains a lot about the two of us.

I had a date. You apparently sat around working on your deep voice.
Have a good weekend, pumpkin.

Oh you had a date? What was his name? I bet he loved all the dancing and romance.

So modern of you…you must really hate yourself though based on your politics. Don’t worry, the majority of us support your journey. Your team? Not so much. I wouldn’t be so forward if I were you…at least not around them.

It gets better. At least that’s what I hear.

I just realized you learned to post images…excellent.  That’s adds a little fun to your perspective.

Also, I’m a bit of a history buff…not an expert, but loves to read about various items that strike my fancy.  Thanks to the TV series “Outlander”, I’ve been reading about the the Highlander Culture of Scotland and was curious if you have been up that way to see the castles…I took a DNA test and have been trace my Genealogy and 93% of my DNA is Welsh,English,Irish Scottish…Just curious.

I thought in the past there was some trick to the posting of images on this site as when I would link them before, they wouldn’t show up. Now I find that if I just paste the link they just show. Not sure what changed…

I have been up to the Highlands but it was along time ago. Been to some battlefields and Lochs Lohman and Ness. Most of my recent Scottish time has been just flying thru Prestwick with the Air Force. Lots of windy golf courses up there. Unfortunately my company doesn’t operate to Scotland so I don’t go with them. I do want to go to Islay someday along with some of the other Scottish Isles. It’s a pretty place but man is this whole island dreary. Record heat yesterday and they aren’t ready for it but it is cooling back off and the rain is coming. I’m ready to come home. Everytime I do I kiss the ground.

One place I would like to visit is the site of Culloden Moor where the Jacobite rising’s final battle occured in an attempt to restore the Stuarts to the throne and have a Catholic Monarch again.  It was a slaughter.  A bunch of Scots fighting in on an open field with a boggy surface against a well-armed British Army.  It was over in about an hour.  The British pretty much destroyed the Highlander culture with things such a baning the Galelic Language, forbidding the wearing of tartans, and seized much of the Clans estates….Good reading.

Yep. Culloden was one of the battlefields I mentioned. I thought it very familiar as I have always been taken to civil war battlefields as a kid. I didn’t know much about Bonnie Prince Charlie but I learned by going. I was about 14 I think when my dad took me there.

You might find “Outlander” an interesting show to watch.  Women like it.  It’s has a bit of a “Harlequin” romance feel to it, but it really does a damn fine job of really detailing the Highlander cultures staring about 3 years before Culloden.  Not a kid friendly show….

Ever since I’ve seen you mention it I have put it on the list. I’m just finishing up Vikings and I’ve had a recommendation for Jamestown too all in a similar historical vein.

Ironically, my wife and I just began watching Vikings.  We are on our 4th episode.  Pretty good start.  The characters are a little too “clean” looking but that’s minor.

It will get better, and then after the loss of some main characters I’ve grown tired of it. Should have ended a season or so before. I’m just trying to finish it cause I don’t like leaving things midstream.

My wife and I finished season one and are a few episodes into season 2. I like it but so far am not loving it but as you said, it’s getting better.  I think my biggest grips so far is not only do they win every battle/raid, they rarely lose men.  Also, they have been outmanned against soldiers with better armor and superior steel and win in routes every time.  Maybe that’s what really happened in history, but it just seems a tad far fetched…Again, I’m being picky and I know that.
