I’ll be interested to see how the investigation by the AG’s office goes into the Steel paper, who funded it, and how it got verified by the FBI. It seems like the heat will be turned up where it hasn’t been so far. Trump is not a very nice or morally upstanding guy. Those alone do not merit ouster. Accusations based in fiction have been lobbed at him from jump. Let’s see how Democrats act when the finger points at them. When you open up a box, it doesn’t always go the way you want. Lawsuits, accusations, calls for impeachment. It’s like why not work together to benefit America? The DNC can not run congress, but it can help set the congressional agenda when it’s in power. What we’ve seen is where it’s at. stalling border funding, stalling the budget, stalling the the USMCA trade agreement. Work together to get stuff done. I think folks who can see past partial headlines will see this in 2020. Trump will be reelected, and the House will return to republican control. The Senate will remain under Republican control. Otherwise, America will stand still or go backwards. I personally think that is the least attractive choice.
I was paying little attention to politics. The economy was in bad shape, and I like everyone was impacted. It was not as bad by a long shot, but it did affect us. Also, during those years my wife and daughter’s health began to suffer. Some things are just more important than this crap.

I’ve been reading Steve Bullock’s platform. Sounds like a reasonable Democrat. Unfortunately he’s too moderate, too white and from the wrong state to get love from the establishment.
I don’t necessarily disagree with you on Bullock as he doesn’t have a chance in Hell, but I disagree with you that it is the establishment that would be his problem. It’s the base. The democratic establishment is quite moderate. The base is just loud.
I will never understand why you all think the Democratic Party establishment would not like Bullock. Joe Biden, Bill Clinton Hillary Clinton…that is the establishment. It’s the Republican Party that has had a coup and the inmates are now running the asylum. It is literally a cult of one. No dissent, no room but for those who praise the dear leader.

I’ll give you the point that Bullock appears to be more in like with the usual cast of characters in the Nancy Pelosi wing of the Democratic party. Bullock is in a no-win situation because he will be branded a sexist or racist if he goes after any of the minority candidates or women.
