As for Democrats, I like Joe Biden.  He’s been around for a long time and has played that “man of the people” role pretty well.  He’s also had some real tragedies in in life.  I think he would have defeated Trump if the Clinton machine had not forced him to stay out of Hillary’s Coronation bid for the White House.  After watching him after a few debates, his age is a real factor.  He’s bumbling, forgetting things and just doesn’t have the edge he will need to win this election.  As this season progress his age is going to continue to really expose Biden as a guy who is beyond his effective years.  Bernie Sanders on the other is about Biden’s age and seems ready to have a street brawl over the damn remote.

I think Biden would have likely beaten Trump too. I had the opportunity to spend some time around him years ago. He was a likable guy and pretty impressive.

Trump has already gone in with the “Sleepy Joe” label. He sees what you’re seeing. Biden doesn’t seem to debate well. In a crowded field that will surely hurt his chances. If Democrats really want to pick the candidate with the best chance to defeat Trump.. Biden is the obvious choice. The loudest portion of the party is the far far left, and I do not think he’s their man. We will see, November isn’t too far away.

Here’s another thing that Joe Biden once had and is losing that none of the others appear to have:  Charisma.  Bill Clinton, Ronald Reagan, Barack Obama, Donald Trump all had great charisma and in this age of media where your words and face are on everything the person that has the most charisma will have the best chance.  I Will back up a little on that statement and say Bernie Sanders has plenty of charisma, but it’s in the form of a grump grandpa fighting over the TV remote.

As for optics, Tulsi Gabbard has a lot going for here.  She’s very attractive, a patriot and veteran and really put Kamala Harris in her place.  She’s just so young and sounds too conservative for the group.

Here we are in mid Aug 2019 and Elizabeth Warren is moving up in the polls and is getting close to Joe Biden after his continuing gaffe’s are already getting the best of him.  I fully expect Biden to bow out at some point.  It’s painfully clear his age has gotten the best of him.

If Biden fades or drops out that’s going to leave the field wide open and that would most likely allow one of the more far left ultra liberals to take over which is going to be an advantage for Trump.  A guy like the fellow Pines is supporting is far more moderate based on what I’ve read in his flatform and I just don’t know if he’s going to get the traction.

The Demos need a more moderate voice because I think the party has a lot of silent center-left people that will not support the ultra left entitlements that are pussing and that goes for the independants as well.
