Back to OP.  What exactly were they blaming him for?  He didn’t create it but his preparations were ATROCIOUS and have endangered millions of Americans.  He had WEEKS to prepare and when it got here he couldn’t even test for it. 

The FIRST step to solving any problem is to IDENTIFY it and he failed at this.  Next you isolate it.  But if you don’t know where it is via testing you can’t isolate it.  Through this whole process he lied and lied and lied about how dangerous it was and his ability to control it.  Even recently going as far as comforting us with his “hunch it will be gone soon despite it spreading like wildfire across the world.  His complete incompetence when it comes to leadership and medical knowledge has been blatantly obvious with this epidemic.  He can’t even get on a stage with his team and present a unified message on the news.

This has absolutely nothing to do with the impeachment nor was there much significant overlap.  And even if this was the case, Trump is the PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES.  He doesn’t get to handle one issue at at time.  His office needs to manage the biggest entity in the world which has a FLOOD of issues.  COVID-19 is THE biggest problem in the world right now.  It will control the economy, shipping, travel, and literally kill people.  He underestimated it (or more likely is just overwhelmingly incompetent) and has put us in a very poor position.

I agree on the NSC comment but to be fair (a little too fair), I don’t believe the CDC defunding was actually done but “simply” proposed for 2021.  What was ultra idiotic is I THINK he proposed this new budget, and therefore cuts to he CDC, THIS FEBRUARY.  Well AFTER COVID 19 was a global topic.  A staggering level of shortsightedness. 

The Dems will run HARD on the COVID failures and rightfully so.  This will be a big issue in November barring some environmental (temp) change that really snuffs it out.  I highly doubt this will be the case as the virus clearly exist in the Southern Hemisphere.  Somewhat ironically the inept response of the White House could literally kill it’s own voters as they have an old demographic.  This will likely be around in November and going to a voting booth will be one of the most dangerous things an old person could do.
