My wife has an autoimmune disorder and her doctor did not want to go on record advising her to get the shot due to her condition. Said it was her decision to make.
Most of you probably know that autoimmune disorder is one of the side effects of the shot, cant remember if its some shots or all shots. Anyways, we have a couple family members and friends who are highly educated that constantly bully my wife In an effort to encourage her to get the vaccine. It’s not for everyone and it never will be. It’s like they’re telling her to take one for they team or we’ll never stop the virus. They all have one thing in common tho. None of them have done their due diligence on how the shot can affect people with pre existing conditions and all they know in what the cdc and the media tell them. My wife tells them that she wont get it because she’s following the science.
She is not an anti vaxxer and appreciates educated opinions but these people are like programmed hard drives. Its truly disgusting and embarrassing. If you talk logically they melt down like a child.
I think everyone should make their own decision.
I’ve had the vaccine but haven’t had the booster yet. I will get it though. I was pretty fortunate not to have any real side effects from it. My wife had one day of being pretty tired.
Your friends and family, in my opinion, are in the wrong. If her doctor isn’t willing to say she should get it, she certainly shouldn’t listen to them. They don’t seem to have the flexibility to consider anything beyond the black and white approach that has become too common on this topic. It’s divisive and damaging to the country, and in this case to friendship and family, unfortunately. I hope they can all agree to disagree on move on, but she shouldn’t jeopardize her health to satisfy them.
