Not named Clemson, Bama, or LSU are you still excited about the season? I know UNC fans are excited for other reasons, but the drama of close games keeps the hearts fluttering. The Coastal division, while not very good, is still very much up for grabs. The SEC obviously has the drams of the Bama and LSU, along the Fla and UGa. tOSU is crushing everyone. So is Clemson. Is that more exciting or seeing the car crash hoping your team survives more exciting?

I’m not only a fan of Clemson, I’m a fan of college football and there are several stories I’m enjoying.  Louisville is an amazing story.  That program was about as low is they could possible and had endured the insult of Jeff Brohm turning down is own school to stay at frigging Purdue only to see it be a real success story with Satterfield.

UNC’s big wins under Mack Brown…

FSU’s roller coaster

Look at Minnesota being undefeated….Baylor, SMU

There’s a lot of great stories about college football I’m enjoying

I agree with everything said above.
I totally disagree with the “all that matters is a championship” crowd. You play the game to win but that is a weekly task and the constant focus on anyone not making the playoff as just consolation prizes is wrong. I don’t go to games for winning alone. It’s a whole event and I love it win or lose. I do admit it is a lot more fun to win but if that’s all you do then you don’t know how good you have it.

I think the Playoff has made more people focus on the championship since it’s in reach for more people but there are tons of good story lines still out there.  Honestly the bowls that took the biggest hit in prestige were the non-playoff BCS bowls.  Clemson fans are spoiled since we’ve been on such a great run.

Since Clemson is in a good place, I’ve really become hopeful that the ACC gets at least 3-4 really strong programs with at least 2 from each division.  For the health of the ACC it needs to happen.

I’m a fan of much more than just Clemson. I enjoy good games for the competition, big plays, close games etc. Most teams aren’t going to be in a position to win a championship, but still enjoy the season - success is relative. A big upset is fun, beating a rival, winning a division, or just having a team that comes out and really plays hard.
