Say what you want but the SEC just got very interesting with Lane Kiffen and Mike Leach in the SEC.  The Egg Bowl could be very entertaining.

It’s going to be interesting to see what the Pirate can do.  I can’t believe Miami didn’t go after him.

That’s going to be fun to watch. I’m not a MS fan, but I’ll enjoy watching him stir it up.

Interesting move, maybe his patience wore off in Washington.  This should be fun.

Did somebody say Interesting???

You know there are sever DC’s in the SEC vigorously scrambling to learn how to defend the pass right now.

LSU has Pelini as DC now. You know he wasn’t ready for it… haha.

I definitely thought he would get that offense going, but didn’t expect that in week one of an interrupted camp against LSU. That was pretty impressive and served notice to the conference. It also exposed LSU as having a horrible pass defense.

The only thing that surprises me about LSU is how so many people from fans to sports media thought that they were going to be anywhere near what thy were last year. It’s rare to lose that much talent and reload.  LSU isn’t built like a traditional Nick Saban program from 5 years ago where he can stack 400 pound linemen, an average QB and run the ball 40 times and play a field position game. LSU rely’s on really solid QB play and they just don’t have the same personnel from last year.  Then you have a turnover in coaching staff.  LSU is an 8 win program maybe.

I’m not surprised Mike Leach’s offense is having early success.  The real measure will be how DC’s adapt now that they have some film on Miss State.  I’ve been a Mike Leach fan for a long time and I can’t believe an ACC school like Miami or FSU didn’t go after him.  All he has ever don’t is win at places that are not traditional winners.

I would love to see Miss State compete for the SEC title in the first year.

It was definitely clear that LSU wasn’t the same team.

I agree on Leach. He’d done a great job everywhere he’s gone. I’m not sure why others didn’t pursue him.  think his personality may have been a concern.  I think he’s funny.

Agree with the above.  LSU fans were WAY TOO optimistic heading into this season.

I’ve already seen comments from USCjr fans saying that they wish they had hired Leach XD

I don’t know how many they will win but they will probably scare everyone except Bama.

I’ve seen some of the USC fans saying that too… That win over LSU in his first game didn’t help Muschamp much with their fans.

They’ll be fun to watch. They may have a pretty tough schedule, but I could see them knocking off someone else.

A friend of mine called it last week. We were talking about the win over LSU, and he said Leach’s teams have a pattern of a big win followed by a bad loss. I certainly didn’t expect that though.
