Now that we have had 2 months off college football I think we have a pretty good idea who the top 4-8 teams are.  The projected strength of schedule’s in September were based on projections rather than what was played on the field.  Syracuse was thought to be a quality game and Louisville was probably not consider legit for example.  Frankly, most (Not all) of the top teams really haven’t played anyone overly special with the exception of LSU so I don’t really know how good any of these teams really are.

With that said, let’s toss around how we see things.

1.  LSU

2.  Clemson

3.  Alabama

4. Ohio State

5. Penn State

6. Florida

7. Oregon

Alabama has been stat packing which is why I dropped them below Clemson and that strategy is probably why Tua got hurt.

I almost moved Florida ahead of Penn State because they have probably played the toughest schedule, but I value winning a little more over a “quality loss” and the close game against Miami played into the final decision.

Here is a fun metric.  The ACC has 2 teams with a losing record.  The SEC has, wait for it, 6.  6 teams with a losing record.

This is how I think it should be:
1.  LSU
2.  Ohio State
3.  Clemson
4.  Alabama
5.  Penn St
6.  Florida

How the rankings should be
1.  LSU
2.  Ohio State
3.  Clemson
4.  Alabama
5.  Penn St
6.  Oklahoma

Who the best teams actually are

1.  Clemson
2.  Bama (with Tua)
3.  LSU
4.  tOSU
5.  OU
6.  PSU

I’m not buying any of that Florida garbage.  Struggle win over a terrible Miami and USCjr, no thanks.

I’m not sure what Tua being out will do for the LSU game but I’m leaning towards Bama blowing LSU out. I think people put too much stock in a struggle win over Auburn which clearly has offensive issues and a Texas team that is nowhere close to “Back”.  Bama knows how to play in big games.  LSU think’s they do but regular season games against unproven teams can’t be trusted.

Nobody is interested in Baylor or Minnesota??
