Congrats, Tar Heels. Well done. That was one where you just had to gut it out because neither team was really on offensively. I agree on the refs; they called some weak calls in that one.

No doubt the refs affected the game and gave fodder to those that want to knock college basketball…it’s too bad but I suspect we shall see some rules changes to help that over the next few years. College Basketball reached a Valley about 5 years ago and I see it back on the upswing over the course of this decade.

Congrats Pines.  Yet again, when Clemson wins the football title, UNC wins basketball after it.  It’s a thing.  The last time the ACC had both Basketball and Football champions I believe was the 81-82 year when it was Clemson and UNC as well.

This was not a great game to watch, but I did. The last series of plays were what the difference was. UNC was able to score, and Gonzaga wasn’t. Towards the end of the game empty offensive trips were happening less and less. UNC’s defense after Hicks’ pretty good shot sealed it. Defense… that’s not a word you think of first when talking about UNC basketball. Congrats to the Heels on the National Championship. TAR!!!
