Why? I am a political guy, but this isn’t a time for politics. Until we know what the hell went on and what compelled to guy to do what he did we need a lot more information before starting another discussion about gun control.

As I am typing this, there is now speculation that the shooter may have transferred a lot of money out of the country…That could mean anything if true or could mean nothing.
All I know is that based on all of the other mass shootings, this guy fits no profile…ole, white , apparently rich, no apparent religious or political affiliations….There has to be more there.

You say “this isn’t a time for politics” but your second post in your thread has NOTHING to do with the event, except for the fact that word “gun” was in it, and everything to do with politics. It’s a classic “lets stop talking about this, while I take the final shot”.
It’s a terrible accident. It will be a while before we have all the info. I only watched one video so far but people need better survival instincts. They were just laying on the ground (at the cops instructions) while a shooter from an ELEVATED position was raining bullets down on them. If you can see him he can see you, take cover.

Do they extend the range of the killing? Of course, but they kill just like anything else in the end. Ban crowbars, knives, hammers, hell…might as well even cars since those have been used. What I want is you to be the advanced thinking species that we are and realize an inanimate object is not responsible, the psycho holding it is. Mental health first.

At first I figured he was there for the casino since he was a big gambler and just so happened upon a large outdoor festival while there. You know, these shootings usually are close quarters in your face type of thing, which is why I figured a casino floor might be his original plan, however the hammers just throw that theory out of the window. He intentionally broke the windows and brought hammers to do so
If you want me to get “political”, I can and at some point I probably will. But not now…The Liberal left and Hollywood are doing a fine job of hijacking this tragedy for gain…If you wish to call Clem and My calling them out for their conduct “political” then whatever.
All I can say is that the more this story develops the more lit is looking like something more orchestrated but possible more than this shooter. I am more interested in the whats and whys of this event.
It appears to me that A/O is just diverting a bit because he knows that the liberal left is looking like a bunch of horses asses for politicizing this tragedy.
All I did was point out the hypocrisy of to Republicans claiming to want to talk about the attack and not politics but immediately bringing politics into the tread.
I’ll be interested to see how large events (football) will change to protect against this. I heard somebody mention today how one of the next fears is somebody using a drone to attack crowds like this. You could do it and get away pretty cleanly if you planned correctly. Maybe Clemson needs to install a gun turret in the Oculus.

Sorry, had to. I told someone yesterday, everywhere we go now will be like going through TSA at the airport. Metal detectors will be the norm. Hotels will scan bags like airports before they are sent up to the room.
To be quite honest, I’m surprised it hasn’t happened at a football game or sports event sooner. As sad as that is.
