Any other Clemson fans here going?  I’m flying to Vegas then driving to Cali then back to Vegas.  So much cheaper.  Hopefully we continue to make it but this may be my last one for a while.  Went to Tampa, going to Cali, unless it’s in Atlanta again I’ll be fine watching on TV after attending 2 Championships and the Orange Bowl semi.  Costs at the VERY least $1000-1200 per person, and that is bare bones not including food or gas for anything.  Can’t imagine these families that go to semi’s and championship with 4-5 or more people.

Should be a pretty good game.  I think we bring the 1 aspect to the game Oklahoma couldn’t, defense to stop some of Bama’s drives.  And I don’t expect us to be shell shocked early.  I would love for big Dex to get his appeal done and get back in time but I do not expect it, I think Huggins did well in his place.

I would love for us to win, for the obvious of course, but no true freshman QB has beaten a Saban coached team since 2007.  Plus, to have 2 of the top QBs that have come out of GA in the past few years leave the state and win us a championship would be a sweet little salt in the wound for the Dawgs.

Reminds me of the 2016 year, lose to Bama the year before and the team just feels hungry for it.

I hope you have a great time.  I have flown in to Las Vegas several times and they have the most entertaining baggage pickup of any airport I have stopped in.

I like our chances.  Bama has shown that are human. Had Oklahoma not been so intimidated in the first Qtr this game could have been close.

Clemson has played these guys enough to not be intimidated and California is a long way to go and I hope the hot climate of South Florida took something out of the Tide.

Like the Notre Dame game, the team that gets settled in the first will have the best change.  Both defenses are going to make the other beat them in the air.

It’s going to be a good one

Also, adding to my 2016 comparison, no one gave us a chance.  They’ve already declared this year’s Bama team to be the best EVER.  Tua is the best QB EVER.  Most complete Bama team EVER.  They come in favored, and the media hype will still be drooling all over Tua and Bama.  Clemson loves this stuff.

I still contend that this year was one of the worst for the majority of teams in the country and very few teams we capable of even testing Clemson or Bama on a good day.  It makes this matchup hard to predict since the gap between these two and the rest is quite large.  I think it’s a close game in the 30’s.

UGA had Bama on the ropes. Clemson is a more complete team than UGA with the best D-line possibly ever. I look for Clemson to exhaust Bama in the 4th qtr. I have Clemson winning.

If Dex is allowed to play we could potentially have the best DL ever.  It’s not looking great for that possibility though.

I am torn.

I want Clemson to win to let those arrogant Bama fans eat crow and shut the hell up.

I want Bama to win big, so the only close game was our game against them.

I think I would prefer Clemson to win.

I’m surprised there isn’t a lot of discussion about this game.  What I am reading are the SEC fans are bashing themselves over some of the Bowl performances and the falling price of ticket prices for the title game.

Perhaps we need a year like this to get the powers that be to reevaluate things and perhaps come up with something that allows multiple options for the title game to be played so it allows the actual fan bases to not have to travel so far to see a game.

I had rather talk about the game than the other noise surrounding game.

I was just in Oakland this morning. Nobody there cares about the game but I’m not sure it would change if it was Stanford vs anyone. That just isn’t the right place for it.

College football needs its powers to be good. Southern Cal and Michigan and Nebraska are hurting the sport along with SeC chanting douchebags from South Carolina and Ole Miss that offer nothing but fodder for Alabama to destroy.

That being said I wish I was going. I love being the fan when others don’t care.
Much less expensive that way.

I think it will be a great game between the obvious two best teams.

The location should definitely be flexible.  If that’s impossible it should be kept east of Dallas.

Dallas, Miami, Atlanta, Charlotte, New Orleans, Indianapolis, Pittsburg, Tampa Bay, Nashville.

Why play it there when the odds that 2 schools from the southeast are playing for the title are enormous?

I think it’s going to be a great game. I sure do wish we had Dexter Lawrence to help clog the middle though!

Clemson and Alabama both travel well, but that’s a long trip for both teams and in one of the most expensive areas of the country for hotels and dining. The people out there don’t care so ticket prices are dropping fast.

Tickets are very cheap now, flights are still a racket.  Could be a lot of empty seats.  In Tampa I saw cash deals for tickets going for like $2k a pop.  Won’t see that this year.  Hotels in Santa Clara were insane, that’s why I chose to fly into Vegas and drive.  Stay just outside of San Jose on this side of it, drive in for the game and drive out afterward and never touch downtown San Fran or go past the stadium.  The city of San Fran is a dump anyway.

Lots of orange in Santa Clara so far.  We just got parked and so far it’s all orange in this lot.  Only seen a small handful of Bama fans on the trip in.  Go Tigers!

Took the scenic detour through Death Valley on the way in from vegas.  Was in the mid 40s and actually drove through a small snow storm on the way out after dark.  Was a great trip, need to go back and explore more.

Also to anyone tired of this matchup, suck it.  Beat us to stop it.

Please tell me you picked up a rock from Death Valley!  That would be so damn cool
