I think Oklahoma is going to disappoint a lot of people.  Jalen Hurts, like Kelly Bryant need to be in offenses that don’t rely heavily on passing and I expect OU to drop a few games and miss the playofjs

Honestly I just think they will run the ball a lot with him.  He will still throw more than he has in the past but they will play to his strength and Big12 defenses still won’t be able to stop him.

IMO he’s a better version of Sam Ehlinger, their main competition.

Good opening drive for Miami.  Florida should have been penalized twice for late hits out of bounds.

Florida is gonna beat them soundly.  Looks like an improved Florida, looks like Miami from the past few seasons.

Pretty disappointing for a defensive team.

Although their tackling isn’t great, Miami is hitting hard and their offense is starting to find a rhythm. That last scoring drive was long and had to have taken something out of UF physically and emotionally.  If Miami can avoid giving up a chunk play for a TD and can run some ball control they can beat these guys

Did not expect Florida to turn the ball over as much as they have.

Miami’s Oline (and QB) are horrendous.

I didn’t watch it all but what I did see was sloppy for both teams.  Was that a pass interference that got picked up at the end?  That would have won the game for Miami.

Both had double digit penalties for triple digit yardage.

Quick Thoughts:

-Very sloppy. So many dumb mistakes and penalties. But it was an opener.
-Miami’s OL is a mess, but can anyone on its ACC schedule expose it? Maybe UVA/VT?
-Williams has a nice future. Didn’t feel the pressure well, but that’ll come with time. Tough situation going against Grantham in your first start.
-Impressed with Miami’s offensive skill position talent. Easily the best in the Coastal.
-Florida needs to get the pads on and tackle during the idle week. That was pathetic at times.

This was a hard game to watch.  The second half was ridiculous.  It was like watching a Benny Hill episode with all of the blunders.

Miami could have and probably should have won this game.  Florida had a lot of help from the referees.  This Big 12 crew let Florida get away with a lot of crap including a number of late hits.

The big things I noticed was Miami’s QB was a statue. No quick release, no ability to escape and I don’t think the threw deep one time.  Once Florida realized the QB was a liability, they pinned their ears back and came after him every down and ate him up.

Miami’s defense kept them in the game.  I believe they had 3 turnovers which kept the game close.  Mullen took a lot of chances with the fake punt, going for it 4th downs which was the difference in the game.

I think Miami comes out of this better off.  By not getting blown out by an SEC team that was 8th ranked gives them something to build on.  The SEC fans are relieved.  This would have been a real black eye had the Gators lost.

I watch this game on the ACC Network watch party where Richt, Packer, Durham and Beason watch the game and reacted.  I didn’t think Mark Richt was capable of such emotion.  He was in the game like a regular fan and had a lot of opinions about the referrers. He barely sat down and was yelling at the TV the entire game like a fan….Very entertaining.

UM’s qb was behind a very bad OL. They have players, but must gel, I guess. One thing about the qb is he’s young, and will get better. I was surprised a little about UM’s defense. I thought they were supposed to be one of the best. UF scored and moved the ball. I was also surprised about the relative lack of a running game for UM. Oh well, it’s SEC 1, ACC 0. Let’s see how the other games go.

That game was entertaining in that it went back and forth and was close enough that either team could have won. It was also one of the sloppiest games I’ve seen in a long time.

As I said, Florida is overrated. Franks looked terrible, but talked like he was a better Florida QB than Tebow. The tackling was horrible for both teams. If Miami had a decent OLine, they would have won by double digits. Florida will be lucky to win 6 games if they play like that the remainder of the year. Miami will get better, where Mullen has no control over his Florida team.
