This will be the first time is a while that we no longer have to worry about cut blocking everydown.  I’m glad to see GT move back to more traditional offenses.

Clemson is a 35 point favorite against GT.  I’m confident we will win, but I would be surprised if Dabo run up the score unless this occurs in a first half route.  I just hope everyone on both teams stays healthy and our backups get a lot of playing time.

I’m just hoping to be able to access the game on my television. Not looking great right now.

Here’s a like to streaming services that’s going to offer it.  You could sign up for the free trial and cancel it after the game:

GT will be a “wreck” for a couple of years until they get some players. The only good thing going for them in the 1st game is there is no tape to watch and prepare for the things they do on offense. Clemson will still beat them badly.

It’s gonna be ugly.  Our backups will play a lot.  Our backups will likely outscore GT.  I’m glad that GT made a change though because I thought they were underachieving.

GT has had some highly rated players transfer into them this offseason including recently a ND guy. Maybe the defense can hold their ground for a little while.

They were 43 yards allowed last year so they needed a little boost.  For some reason I thought they were much lower than that.

Really? You are posting and writing on the internet but you don’t have access to Direct TV, Hulu, or a PlayStation? Spectrum just announced it is carrying it this week so most of the Carolinas are good for those who still have cable. (Why they have that I don’t understand) I suspect more will follow in the next few days. Disney tends to win these type negotiations. Especially when the ACC network is packaged with ESPN and ABC.

A lot of the cable companies didn’t sign up for the SeC network until the day it launched but I get the typical need to claim how it isn’t going well for the ACC…so I’d say the ACC is actually ahead of them however with still a week to go.

Well, I’m not switching from cable to dish for one channel that I’ll eventually have, so that’s obviously out. Can anyone with a Hulu subscription watch it through that? My fiancee has accounts for the streaming services, but I never watch them, so may not be up to speed there.

Yep, our line has been aweful at pass blocking since Chan’s players graduated. Y’all thought we were one dimensional with CPJ, wait till we play cu and can’t get a pass off. Not looking forward to this game.

I used to have Hulu and it wasn’t good for sports. I heard something about them making some changes in that area so it may be worth a look.

If the fiancee option doesn’t work I’m pretty sure Hulu and maybe YouTube TV offers a 7 day free trial….That’s that option I will be doing if my Comcast people don’t come through

Have you all called them? That’s one thing that SeC chanters are Waaaayyyyy better at than ACC people. They demanded the SeC network. I don’t subscribe to cable but I still called Spectrum several times and everytime they telemarketed me trying to get me to sign up, I told them I would only consider it if they got the ACC network.

I think thousands of people like me doing that in NC obviously worked…that and Disney.

I have DirectTVNow and I like it but I am about to switch to Hulu live tv in prep for the Disney plus deal. My one casualty is AMC so I’m not sure how to get my zombie fix now.

Since I have Comcast and their sports package, I’m fully expecting to see the ACCN added to the bundle.  I’ve called the Xfinity people and the lady I talked to said they have plans to carry it.

Getting back to the game, I wonder how aggressive Venables it going to be defensively?  With Texas A&M coming up the following week I wonder how much he’s going to show?  This will be the first time in a very long time GT’s offensive linemen will be backing up in pass protection rather than lunging forward into to cut-blocks.  My guess is he will start out playing basic zone packages to see what GT’s offense can do.

This is one of those games that if it turns out the way people expect, I just don’t want to see any big injuries from either team as it is a long season.

I don’t see how anyone would just not opt to carry it.  They’ll work the deals out in time.  It’s to much money to say nah, no thanks.  Especially when it will cause their customers to switch to another option to get it.

Don’t forget, we gotta see what our defense can do as well.  This is the first year in a while we don’t have guarantees especially up front.  We’ve built quality depth, but it wasn’t like knowing Bryant, Wilkins, Lawrence, and Ferrell would be on the line.  I feel like this year may be one of those Chad Morris era type years.  You are going to see the defense do well enough and eventually find their legs, and the offense will just be lights out.  On paper the offense should carry the load this year.

GT has been such a sure fire win for a couple years now for us, will be interesting to see how many more headaches they will cause us by NOT running the option.
