National Interest Games:

Notre Dame at UGA
Auburn at Texas A&M
Michigan at Wisconsin

Not a great week of games for the ACC.  Really nothing there that can help the league on the national stage with wins.

UCF/Pitt is a stand out game because UCF is on fire and playing pissed off at being dismissed.  Clemson people know a little about that sentiment.

Louisville/FSU is probably the biggest game in CWT’s tenure.  I think the entire season and perhaps his future rests in this game.  If they lose to the Cards with how bad they were last year under a new coach then the FSU fans will be out for blood.

I’m going to have to pull for UGa in this game even though I am not a fan.  I don’t like Notre Dame not having to play either a 13th game or be in a conference and still have access.

I really want Texas A&M to hammer Auburn because that just makes our resume look better.

I’m wondering if Michigan is for real after nearly losing to Army.

Thoughts?

I’d like for WF to get at least 2nd in the Atlantic division, which is possible. Otherwise, I’d like for UNC to win out. Of course, a realist can not expect UNC to win vs. Clemson, but the other games are possible. UVa should be the most difficult. That said, what can we all realistically expect for our teams? Clemson will win out, but otherwise.. what really can we expect?

With respect to this week’s games… the ACC should do ok, I hope.

A Pitt win over UCF would be a good one.
Louisville v FSU s a big one for FSU.
UNC better not overlook App St.
Of course the big one is ND and UGA. That will be an important one for playoffs.

Soooo, UNC.  Y’all gonna step up this year or..?  Currently getting beat by App St, does not bode well for USCjr.

FSU taking some big injuries, still leading Louisville but won’t help them going forward.

Well, I thought UNC came to play to start today. I realize they’re missing 2-3 OL players, starting CB, etc but I really thought they had come to play. 14 points for App St were basically on Sam Howell. He’s a freshman, and it was gonna show sooner or later. As far as expectations… I knew going in the first 5 games were going to be the toughest stretch to start. I was hoping of 3-2, but my hopes do not matter. I still think Mack Brown has the program headed right. UNC could not stand to have any injuries, they can not have too many mistakes, and they HAVE to come into every game like a big underdog and play lights out to have a chance to win. It seemed to me the same 3 players were taking turns getting cramps for App St to slow UNC’s offense. I would never accuse a former NCSU coach of anything like that.

Awesome win by Pitt.  If they hadn’t screwed up the PSU game they would be skyrocketing in the rankings.
Clemson dominates
Wake Dominates
BC, Cuse, and NCST did ok.
UNC had a somewhat embarrassing loss.
UVA was probably pissing their pants for a while against ODU.  I bet they could hear the VT chants.
Miami barely beats a directional Michigan team.
FSU nearly chokes away another to Lou.

That pretty much sums it up.
