Well, the latest gimmick is the Houston Sr QB shutting down after week 4 claiming he’s going to stay with the program to practice and comeback next year….I personally think that’s BS.  My guess is that he’s going to stay with the team so he can continue to workout so he can transfer next year…

This case does lead to another potential misuse issue…I could see a head coach tanking his season if he has a stud QB with a very young team and shuts him down in order to have a stronger team next year without losing a player to graduation….The NFL does it all of the time for teams that have no chance in winning blowing games to move up in the draft.

I think this transfer portal is doing more harm than good to the game and needs to be revamped to better reflect the intended use.

I’ve SEEN the future. Do you know what it is? It’s a 47-year-old virgin sitting around in his beige pajamas, drinking a banana-broccoli shake, singing “I’m an Oscar Meyer Wiener”.

Tanking is what it looks like Houston is doing this year - it’s a qb and a receiver. I can’t say for sure, but it this isn’t how it was intended.
