So crazy.  I mean I guess they did beat the ranked top 10 team but wow.  Penalized again for winning.  Clemson getting all the ammo it needs to finish the season.  Also, they are really setting this Bama vs LSU game up.

1.  Bama
2.  LSU
3.  Clemson
4.  Ohio St
5.  Oklahoma

Clemson is suffering from the narrative that the ACC is garbage. As the rest of the season goes on the real poll will play out, and Clemson will be fine. When UF beats UGa and Ala beats LSU and then UF again if will probably shake out to the usual teams in the playoff… Bama, Clemson, OU, and tOSU.

Here is what I have a problem with.  If LSU jumped Clemson, shouldn’t the same reasoning be applied and them jump Bama as well?  It makes no sense and is terribly inconsistent.  LSU should be #1 right now.  Thank god for the playoff selection, though this could end up being their toughest year yet.

Bingo Clemtgrs!! I have no issue with LSU being ahead of us but they have a much better resume than Bama as well.
I frankly don’t care at this point other than right is right and wrong is wrong.

LSU has the best set of wins.
Alabama has the best offense and no close-calls.
Clemson has the best defense.
Ohio State has the best balance and no close-calls.

If you justify it with those reasons, I’m totally fine with putting any of those four No. 1. Just don’t argue Clemson because they’ve won 21 straight. This Clemson team has won six straight, just like all the others.

I’m a resume guy, so I’d have LSU No. 1.

I no longer care about the UP and AP poll.  The CFP poll has made it irrelevant.  It’s only purpose is to artificially pumped up certain teams to create better TV match ups such as Texas A&M being ranked 11th going into Clemson.

LSU may or may not be the best team, but you can bet that both polls will have them and Alabama 1 & 2 before the play to create a bigger TV game.

As for Clemson, we will be fine in our typical place.  Like Nick Saban recently said: Winning is no longer good enough”....

As for little old Clemson’s resume, they are the only team in the nation with 6 FBS wins….

But what’s in a resume?

Best resume is definitely LSU by far but doesn’t the CFP rank the 4 best teams?

IMO if you’re just picking the best teams I’m still rolling Clemson, Bama, tOSU, and LSU in that order.  I think OU will overtake LSU by the end of the year since Bama will likely expose LSU.

Annnnnnnnnd we drop more, below Ohio State.  Alabama doesn’t move even struggling most of the night with Tennessee.  It is a total sham.  Will be interesting to see what the playoff rankings are like.

This is literally all based off Lawrence not living up to some god like status the MEDIA set up after the National Championship.  News flash morons, Watson had 17 interceptions in 2016.

We’re still destroying teams (except UNC) and it’s still not good enough because something as small as “oh but they had 2 turnovers”.  I love how tOSU beating down 1-5 Northwestern is reason to jump us when we blowout 4-3 Louisville.

Clemson’s sports information department / PR department deserves some blame as well for the TL hype. I get it that “that’s what they do”. They are second to none in CF. I mean that as a compliment.

All of the media is focusing only on Trevor Lawrence.  They expect every game to be like that national title game and it just doesn’t work that way.

If Dabo kept Lawrence in games as long as Tua, Hurts, Burrow, Fields his numbers would be insane.

In the last game against Louisville, everyone is focusing on the 2 int’s rather than in the second qtr TL went 9-9, the Defense is playing as good if not better than last year ans Eitiene has a near 200 yard game.

This is about hating on the ACC as a conference and looking for any flaw in it’s top program to create a wedge issue.

Of course it really screws things up when a South Carolina beats an undefeated UGa or an Illinois beats an undefeated Wisconsin to screw up TV’s undefeated match ups.

Clemson is a 34 point favorite against BC…If we don’t beat them by 40 points the mediate will ask what’s wrong?

Fortunately the AP and Coaches polls are meaningless and in 2 weeks the only poll that matters comes out.

I just hope our “loss” to UNC doesn’t hurt us.

It will be REALLY interesting to see the narrative shift after the LSU vs Bama game.  If it does.  I can’t help but feel like they are just trying to prop up that game as #1 vs #2 game of the century blah blah blah.

Like I said, I don’t have an issue being #4, or being behind LSU or Ohio State.  I have an issue with the double standard for Bama.
