If we can’t get the nation’s #1 hoops player when both his parents went to FSU, his dad played hoops for us, and his best friend is signed in our recruiting class it will never happen. Disappointed at the chance for a culture change but not shocked at all.

Back To The Future

I was watching Back To The Future this weekend. If you haven’t seen the movie (unlikely, unless you’ve been in a coma for the last couple of decades), it’s about a high school kid who accidentally travels 30 years in the past, from 1985 to 1955, and has to deal with culture shock and fixing the space-time continuum he inadvertently altered, to save his future self while figuring out how to return to 1985.
I then realized that it’s been nearly 30 years since that movie was released. After I got over feeling really freaking old, I started to wonder if the effect would be the same if a kid from 2013 was sent back to 1983. As a kid growing up in the 80’s, the 1950’s seemed so incredibly archaic. Would 1983 seem the same to kids today? Has American/world society and technology changed as much in the past 30 years as it did from the 50’s to the 80’s?

A while back I called out Duke and UNC basketball (no surprise) for being on the down swing and that once Louisville and Syracuse got into the ACC UNC and Duke would become second rate citizens. Of course I was blasted for it by certain fans but after watching this tourney it seems I may indeed be onto something.

I’ve given up hope of Clemson ever competing in ACC basketball at least to a point of a deep tourney run either NCAA or ACC. Still haven’t given up hope that we can find a coach to lead us decisively past the Boston colleges, Wakes, and VT’s of the ACC.

Good luck to you UNC and Duke….you’re going to need it. Nothing would please me more then to see rat face cry as much as possible. Congrats to Louisville, I like Louisville at least for now, finally a program that is a welcome sight in the ACC (basketball AND football) I wish we had some posters from Louisville.

Our Pack is going out on our big quarterly camping trip and it is a medieval theme where the Cub Scouts dress up like knights and what not…..They will have a contest for who makes the best “pottage” and “Grog” (non-Alcohol)..

Clemson got the Heels on Sunday in 11 but UNC should stay #1 I would think.

Expansion was definitely not baseball based.
