I have been voting in the same place for 20 years and I have never seen such long lines before the polls to open. I am glad I got there early!

If Trump wins, you can pretty much say goodbye to the way polling is done and the establishment GOP will be scurrying to suck up to the Donald to save their political ass. The Liberal Media will go into a full blown riot and Hollywood we suffer a major case of butt-hurt.

The polls here opened at 6:30 AM. I took my wife to curb side voting, as she is disabled and qualified. The line for everyone else was pretty long. I went back around 11 AM after a dentist check up. I did not have to wait. I have voted at the same place for 14 years, as that’s how long I’ve lived in my present home. Here in N. Carolina we just had the ID to vote law overturned. There were signs everywhere saying “You Do NOT Need and ID to Vote”. There have been a lot of laws passed by the republican legislature overturned in court. Not to mention HB2. This will be an interesting election on the state level here.

I am trying to raise smart, polite women who now get to call someone who braggs about sexual assault, dodged the draft, threatens to jail political opponents against the rule of law, and is the father of 5 kids from three women where he cheated on each of them.

This election shows the brilliance of the electoral college. It is the great equalizer in the event of voter fraud. In states like North Carolina that stuck down voter ID laws where pretty much anyone could vote or represent themselves as a registered voter with no proof, and situations where “dead” people continue to vote and of course the unknown number of illegal aliens that were able to vote takes the ability to game the popular vote.
California for example, no matter how many illegal votes are cast the State is worth 55 votes in the Electoral college.
I know a lot of people would rather have a popular vote, but I will always support the electoral college.

I was disappointed in the senate race here in NC. Lots of negativity during the run up. I don’t understand about those who want to repeal HB2 and then send the same folks to the general assembly that passed it to begin with. We may have a different governor, but he can’t repeal a law, just veto a bill.
Because we have gerrymandered districts where politicians pick their voters not the other way around…you know just like the framers intended.
The main author who gloated about it looks like he may lose the attorney general’s race while the governor who went to the mat for it may lose also…in a republican landslide to boot. I say May due to the recounts but that’s the difference between gerrymandering and a statewide election when both of those thing happen simultaneously.
I think Burr benefitted more from Trump than anything else.
