Evidence clearly shows that Wikileaks got the info directly from the Russian Government. Prove that claim please.
If you mean that Assange is a proven liar in regard to his Wikileaks publications, prove that claim.

I don’t have to prove anything to you. They aren’t claims. It was expressly briefed to congress and is the conclusion of the American Intelligence services. There is no dispute of it even between the Republicans and Democrats on the committee or in Washington. The only person disputing it is our ego filled President Elect who cant stand that Russians wanted him to win cause they know he wont stand up to them unless pressured to and who is willing to side with a Russian dictator over his own people. Get off your ass and look it up yourself. Of course if you were actually interested in facts you probably wouldn’t think the way you do, and we wouldn’t have the impending disaster of a presidency that we are about to have.

Buzz..you have to first understand that Pines blindly trust the Government…They can do no wrong…Everything that comes out of DC is pure!

It doesn’t matter that these Leaks only became a problem once the democrats lost…Obama and and company didn’t seem to make such a public fuss about all of the other alleged hacking of companies and government agencies….But it is the government…

When Trump takes over Pines will be back to blindly trusting him because he will be the government!

Yep…except what you say is also completely and verifiably not true. Russian hacking was briefed and brought up before the election and even mentioned in the debates while your boy tried to deny it. President Obama wanted a joint statement from congress condemning it and you know what? Mitch McConnell wouldn’t do it and President Obama didn’t want to politicize the intelligence. You think President Trump would do that if it was the other way around?

I wonder what every conservative blowhard would be screaming if Putin had helped Clinton to win. They would be frothing at the mouth about treason and you would be reposting it. Your hypocrisy is so blatant it is actually amazing.

So we now have a president elect that is willing to deny intelligence if it doesn’t suit him politically and people like you willing to excuse it.

Wouldn’t it be great if the truth drove your political views instead of your politics driving what you think was the truth?

Par for the course for Republican Presidents.  Soon we’ll be chasing WMD’s again.

I actually read the report before I made my previous post. I just don’t blindly accept government information as the gospel truth. For those who do, the report concluded that the hacks had no effect on the outcome of the election.

But you blindly support the tweets of the literal definition of a con man, an accused rapist who is on the run from the law, and a Russian dictator. How patriotic.

If you beleive that the misinformation and lies put forth didn’t effect an election decided by 80,000 votes across three razor close states, well you would be a….trump voter. Truth doesn’t matter to you and the report DID NOT conclude that at all. Nice try though, Kellyanne. Any more bullshit that is easily refuted?

Again it is sad when your politics shape what you think is true. I stick to the actual truth.

Out of curiosity, what was the misinformation and lies that changed the election that you’re referencing?

Well, off the top of my head I can think of the pizzashop child sex ring or the idea that Hillary is some kind of murdering secret agent killing FBI people…

but in my super extensive 1 minute of google research I found a list of hoaxes:
https://www.nytimes.com/2016/11/09/us/politics/debunk-fake-news-election-day.html?_r=0

I found a study that shows how people started searching them and they did better than the real stuff:
http://www.vox.com/new-money/2016/11/16/13659840/facebook-fake-news-chart

and I even found a study showing how your types believed all the bullshit:
http://www.vox.com/new-money/2016/11/16/13659840/facebook-fake-news-chart

But yeah, it had no effect whatsoever.

No surprise how illinformed Trump voters are…that is a given for them to have voted for a con man. I do think the surprise will come when this impending disaster of a presidency starts affecting their lives. I would love to be above it all and just laugh at you, but the problem with this whole Presidency thing is it affects me too and maybe even more. The front end tax cut will be nice but in the end, it will take the adults to come in and clean up the mess after we all have to pay for it. I don’t look forward to that.

Those were stupid stories put out that unfortunately had an impact on the pizza shop for example. I don’t think they had much of an impact on the election. There are examples of putting things out there on both sides. Unfortunately, that has always been a part of politics and will continue to be. The people that believe them typically do so because it confirms their existing thoughts about someone.

I think you are wrong about the effect of this garbage and the fact that studies show people believed this stuff says it absolutely had an impact.

In this thread alone multiple posters have made claims and statements that are verifiably false which show how much misinformation is out there. You are in denial if you think it didn’t matter.

I cant tell you how many times I saw bs reposted by people on facebook or how many times people I am related to tried to tell me about some easily discredited crap where Hillary was disbarred or was involved in some kind of criminal activity. Of course you are absolutely right about people being willing to believe anything that confirms what they want to believe.

This is not being done equally and it is also not normal or just like a previous time in history. The Russians have never tried to help a candidate get elected because up until now we have never had a candidate that disputed their status as an enemy of this nation.

Of course our new president denied it and denied it until he has been forced to admit it. Do you think that is a good trait to have as a president??? Someone who refuses to hear or believe things they don’t want to believe despite the evidence?

We literally have a con man as a president and it blows my mind the amount of excuses you all will make every time we get another revelation of his BS. But yeah, the journalists who are trying to hold power to account are scum right???

All except Fox News and Breitbart…you know, the real journalists.

Yeah there is no doubt that there will be some buffoonery every day with this lot. Sad thing is that real people are going to be hurt by this disaster. It isn’t some reality tv bs anymore…

First of all, I don’t believe there are any well constructed studies that demonstrate the impact of such stories. There may be stories that say that, but I don’t believe there are any that accurately sample and demonstrate any shift in voting from Hillary to Trump based on any defined story to suggest it stemmed from fake news.

The second point would be how do you even define fake news? Some would suggest that Hillary constantly lying by saying what she didn’t do was creating fake news - and those points clearly made it to the news and were demonstrably false.

Finally, Mrs. Clinton seemed to have the benefit of a supportive press, yet the people that did believe the fake news stories found it plausible that she was involved in a child sex operation. Perhaps, that’s further evidence of what the non Hillary kool-aid drinkers have said, that she is a horrible candidate with loathsome character.

As for the Russians, how do you know they were trying to help one candidate as opposed to general disruption? They attempted to hack the RNC as well? The hacking is it’s own problem, but there is no evidence that they changed any voted other than maybe demonstrating the corruption in the DNC and the Clinton campaign.

This sounds like a dude that gets caught cheating on his wife when she sees his messages and says he did nothing wrong because she found it by reading his texts.

Its like you live in a fantasy land constructed to support your own worldview…wait I already knew that. I am going to start calling you Baghdad Bob.

How do you define fake news? Its false things constructed as clickbait to temp naïve people who want to believe something into following the link. Tons of stories written about it, and exposes with the people actually producing it. It tilts to one side because right wingers who trend older and more nostalgic, tended to believe it more than left wingers who trend younger and are more tech savy and skeptical.

Supportive press? You truly live in a fantasy world…she had to answer for false allegation after false allegation while Trump got millions in free coverage saying false things every single day. The media you hate so much ELECTED YOUR CANDIDATE because your candidate won on the backs of illinformed but motivated chanters. That’s not to say there wasn’t some good coverage. The Times and the WaPo did good exposes of the fraudulent Trump foundation and also on his scams he ran in the past. People like you just don’t read those unfortunately. We can both dislike the media but I dislike them for not challenging your boy and you dislike them for not cupping his balls enough. The difference is I want them to actually do their jobs whereas you want propaganda sycophants. We call that Fox and Breitbart. Fortunately, it looks like in the wake of all the criticism, real journalism is occurring on a wider scale again.

As for the Russians, where have you been man? Are you just completely out to lunch?? I know they helped Trump because only one side had info released and the CONCLUSION OF THE INTELLIGENCE SUMMARY THAT IS WIDELY ACCEPTED BY EVERYONE IN WASHINGTON ON BOTH SIDES IS THAT THEY DID!!!! If you don’t think they have stuff on your boy…well you probably aren’t familiar with a golden shower either.

Sounds like the dude that gets caught cheating on his wife, and then she catches him in the act at a hotel and he says I wasn’t cheating on you (despite being naked in a bed with another woman.)

Just cause you say something is so and don’t want to believe it doesn’t mean it is so.
