Anyone watching the combine?

Watson looked super smooth today, looked great.  Honestly in a class by himself from the other QBs.  Sorry UNC fans.  It’s funny how everyone said Watson was undersized and Trubisky was prototypical size wise leading up to this, yet they weigh the same, are the same height, have almost the same size hands, and run the same speed.  HMMM.  In a perfect world I’d love to see Watson fall past the Browns (I think they will go DLine first) to one of the other teams in need, Arizona or Houston specifically (I think they’d need to trade up to get him though)  Hard to see him dropping past the Jets or Bills picks.

Oh and there is this.

Sorry for what? Trubisky will be first qb picked. To that end what does it matter, though? Every mock I’ve seen had Watson to the Bills. Trubisky to tthe 49ers.

After yesterday, Mitch lost ground to Watson…By just about everyone in the sports media and the so-called experts pretty much say Watson nailed it.

I wouldn’t be surprised if a team like Houston moved up to get Watson.  I really Hope Watson doesn’t go to the Browns..that is a QB graveyard

Man you guys sure are desperate to put Trubisky down huh. Why do you even care? Its the stupid draft. What does it matter til they have a few years in the league?

Did Aaron Rodgers win as much as Tim Tebow in college? No.

You ought to listen to the Audible Podcast with Daniel Jeremiah from NFL Network. He disagrees with your assessments. What would he know though…Clemson fans know best.

Trubisky, Pearman, and Mahomes are the only two that should be mentioned in the same breath as Watson.  The biggest thing that annoys me about the love for Trubisky is the fact that they ignore the fact that Watson has 3x the experience and 4x the production.  You would think that would stand for something.  He’s won almost as many games as the next 3 best QB’s in his class combined.

How anyone wants Kizer or Kaya is beyond me.

So did Tim Tebow…that isn’t what the NFL is about. They are all about measurements and take into account all the things we don’t see. Bad reads, having to scramble to bail out and having your receivers make up for a bad pass.

Nobody is saying Watson isn’t great. It just is funny how defensive you guys seem to get because your guy might not be the first QB taken.

Who cares!

Trubisky might as well not even gone to college, what are they grading him off of, practice tapes?

We care because we like seeing these guys translate to the next level.

Yeah so do we…and I’ll be happy to discuss it with you in a few years when the real results that matter are in.

What’s the point of a combine invite if you aren’t going to participate?  To me that makes no sense and I hate seeing a bunch of Clemson guys doing it as well as so many across the country.  If you aren’t going to participate you shouldn’t be going.  Just my opinion.  Only 3 of the what 8 or so Clemson players ran the 40, and many of them didn’t or won’t take part in a number of drills.

Is the combine becoming like bowl games if school pro days take over as standard?

None of our guys have blazing speed this year. Gallman had to.  I thought it was odd that Leggett didn’t.  Our next set of skill guys are pretty quick.

Yeah, but a pro day isn’t going to mask that any different than the combine would.  If you are slow you are slow.

Well, the agents and their advisers are coaching them on what items to display.  I don’t get to worked up about running without football gear on.  Do you think I care what Hunter Renfrow’s 40?  Can you play football?  The Draft misses players all of the time and over-values players just as frequent.

I don’t think guys like Watson or Mike Williams needs to do any more than stay healthy.
