Geensboro went SAVAGE on coach Boehiem.

After Syracuse lost today Boehiem said:

“I’m not gonna be around that much longer to care about it. But I think that’s where the value is. I think there’s a huge value in playing in those places. There’s no value to playing in Greensboro, none.  It’s there because the league’s been there and the [ACC] office is there, they have 150 people at the ACC meetings. That’s why it’s there, it should not be there.”

The City of Greensboro followed it up with this tweet:

“We kindly disagree.  But I guess you can lose in the 1st round anywhere.  At least it’s a quick ride home.”

WRECKED.  Can’t say I fully disagree with him, but I hate the guy and think he was mega salty.  He should of stated it better, and won.

While I think he is butthurt, he is right about Greensboro to a degree. He needs to make them kind of comments off of a win…Kinda like Dabo did when we played Miami in their Yard and put a 58-0 beat down..He had some unkind words to say about the facilities…

I don’t disagree with the principle of his statement…but no town supports the tourney like Greensboro…and no town has as big of an arena. There is also nothing dated about it. I think it should rotate to other cities but Greensboro is its home/anchor and all the expansion schools should just adjust and be glad to be a part of the tradition.

Greensboro’s hands are tied. NC continues to keep the HB2 law going, and the ACC will continue to take this thing to other states. Greensboro is very convenient to the NC teams, and very good to UNC.  I think maybe if the ACC wants to be from NY to FL they will have to move the tournament around NY, DC, Orlando, Charlotte, and Greensboro should be in the rotation, but no more or less than other places.

DC, Charlotte, NY, Greensboro, even Atlanta…all good. Orlando and Tampa? No. They don’t care and we don’t go there. FSU had three fans in NY and they won’t have any more playing in the NCAA in Orlando. Get a fan base who cares and then we can put the tourney in Florida. I am currently living in the same house as an FSU alum who is a huge NBA fan. He pretty much could not care less about FSU basketball. It’s amazing to me. Until people like him care? no way another tourney in Florida.
