They need to decide if FCS games are going to count or not. This is some stupid NCAA garbage. They have to do a scholarship investigation of teams before scheduling?

“The report states an FCS school must field a team with at least 90 percent of players on scholarship in order for a victory over it to count toward bowl eligibility.

The report found Delaware State’s average of scholarship grants-in-aid per year in football during a rolling two-year period was 54.815, or equivalent to 87 percent, short of the 90 percent threshold.”

FSU apparently good now when counting academic scholarships…lol.

FCS games should be made into preseason exhibitions only and all Power 5 conferences should play the same amount of conference games.

Current system is a joke.

Current system is a joke.

Sometimes teams will back out of an agreement leaving a team unable to find anyone other than an FCS school to fill that void.

I am not against the FCS “money game” because it allows backs some live action, puts some bank in the program and helps those FCS schools to fund their athletic programs.

This goes back to putting the proper weight of playing in the conference championship game an winning it.  You are going to get that extra game against what should be two highly ranked FBS teams that will wash out that FCS game…If you don’t make it to the conference title that FCS game should go against you more.

VT holding Oklahoma ST pretty well makes me think the same will occur to Oklahoma in the playoffs.  Their offense is deadly….until they hit a real defense that they don’t see in the Big 12.  A real defense exposes them and holds them well.  Still a lot of game left but right now VT is holding them to 6.

This was a game I thought was a bad matchup for VT, but they are doing well so far.

Bad snap in the redzone on 4th gives the ball to OSU then VT makes a stop on the 30.  Jackson follows that up with an INT just past mid-field.

Jackson reminds me of Boyd a bit but he’s scared to take a hit and not as accurate.  He can run a little and he’s got good size to be a power running QB but needs to work on that arm.  To be fair I’ve seen a lot of drops by his WR’s and I think they said his best WR is out today.

VT just got another good 4th down stop near mid-field.  They are still in this game.

Did see any of those games yesterday…with the exception of about 10 minutes of UVA and it was so awful I couldn’t watch. I have never seen a team be that terrible. They literally could do nothing right. Still think their program is headed in right direction.

As for VT, I too thought it was a terrible matchup for them and the fact that they were right in it definitely is a comment to me on Big 12 defense.

Hopefully will see some of the Wake and State games today.

Wake hanging tough with Texas A&M in the 1st.  Tied up at 14 after A&M commits a few big penalties in a row.  Wake offense running at lightning speed.  They resemble a decent football team right now.  If Wake can finish with 8 wins and a win over A&M to close the year that would be huge for them.
