We are in the midst of a record breaking number of days of bitter cold weather. It is super cold, and did not get above freezing today in the Raleigh NC area. How cold is it where you are? I am already ready for spring. To think.. all this cold and no chance of snow.

It’s about 40 right now in Charleston.  I actually went fishing and caught some nice red drum this afternoon.  Getting down in the 20’s tonight so if you have a well don’t forget to drain it or it will be cracked in the morning.  It’s gonna be cold for a week straight which is pretty odd down here with consecutive nights in the 20’s.  Apparently we have a slight chance of rain tonight and Wednesday.

Well as you all probably know a slight chance of rain turned into freezing rain and 6” of snow for Charleston.  I had a blast!!  I love this stuff.

Awesome! When’s the last time that y’all got a good snow down there on the farm?

It barely missed Cola. Looks like Sumter was the line. Sumter… In the summer, the hottest place in Sc imho.

Awesome! When’s the last time that y’all got a good snow down there on the farm?

I think we had a little when we got that ice storm in 2013 or 2014.  We got some in 2010 too I believe.  Last time the deer poured out the woods when it snowed.  We have some feeders out but I’m scared the cold might kill the batteries.  Too snowy for me to get there but my uncle lives right next to it and has a Kabota RTV so he might be corning them up. 

We got around 3 maybe 4 inches here in Savannah…This morning was horrible as the roads are frozen completely since the snow didn’t melt from yesterday.  This town isn’t set up for snow plowing as we get snow that sticks maybe one day every 10-20 years.  There have been a lot of wrecks here and I expect there will be more today until the suns melts of the ice later today

We got a good bit here in Charleston. We’re still shut down.

The melt is stronger than I expected today but I still think work will be delayed tomorrow.  Make sure you get home before sunset because the roads will start to refreeze once they get shaded.

Yeah, three are going to be a lot of areas that are sheets of ice tonight into tomorrow morning. Be careful.

Sitting under 5-6 inches of this crap has got all of us stir crazy in side. My heat pumps cant keep up with the temp setting in our house.
