They remind me of those Wake Forest teams from 2006-2008 that happened to have the right pieces fall in place. Then the assistant coaches were poached and the special players graduated. I could see this happening with SU, but looking at their team they do return most starters and I feel good about Dungey’s replacement at QB and I think they managed to keep all of their assistant coaches. The next season at least could be just as good and maybe they can spring the upset vs Clemson.

I think Syracuse is going to be a very different team without Dungy at QB just like Wake was when Riley Skinner graduates at Wake…Both of those men were a huge part of those schools success.

I think they will settle to a 8-9 win team when the rest of the ACC recovers.  They overachieved this year.

Yep depends on the guy replacing dungey.  Syracuse fans high on him, but I’m not sold yet.  I see them regressing.  Especially if Louisville can get rolling with the new App St staff.  Tell you what though, the cuse fans are already pondering ways they can be a playoff team next season and are sure they can beat Clemson.  Possible but everyone is quick to forget, Lawrence got knocked out of that game last year really early.  They might not be as close as they think.  I surely don’t think they are built for the playoffs yet.  What they need is to string a few seasons like this one together, get the recruiting going, THEN worry about playoffs.

I like what Babers is doing with that program though.  Arguably 2nd best team in the ACC right now.

Curse is not CFP ready.  They are not to the level the Boyd teams were and our current team wound crush those Boyd teams.  They are due for a reality check from Clemson.
