What are you hearing about your team? UNC had one pads on practice, then broke for spring break. MB says staff will look at film in extreme detail over break individually and as a group to decide which will get more reps and which fewer. Can coaches do that after one practice? I guess players better show up every day.

Lots of coach speak so hard to tell.  I think our DB’s will be better than usual.  Mixed reviews about DL and LB’s.  Several DL our with injury.

Our highly productive offense added two WR’s who have supposedly been very impressive.  Frank is drawing Sammy Watkins comparisons by the coaches.  Apparently added some needed weight as an early enrollee.

For the first time in ages I’m hearing a decent amount about a TE, which is good as we are thin at the position.  Supposedly he is very raw but an absolute physical specimen.  If he develops we will have A LOT of TALLLLL targets for Trevor to throw to.

Adding a TE to our offense would be excellent.  May be the only missing piece we have on that side of the ball.  That would be insane having a threat at TE as well as what we have at RB and WR.  Not worried about our offense in the slightest.  I would like to see Dixon progress more this year at RB.

Hearing the same as Ancient, naturally being Clemson fans.  Defense is basically starting over though I do think there will be some carry over like Ancient said in the DB area and I think our ends will be ok.  I worry more about our interior Dline and LBs.  We have playmakers, just worried about depth and them taking some time to find their starting sea legs.  Good thing is most everyone has played in some capacity already except those just coming into the program.  Dabo rotates them like clockwork.

Hope our Dline surprises.  I’m not down about them, I love the guys we have but its tough to replace the 5 we just lost, those guys were special.  Looking forward to seeing more of this though:

Yea I almost brought up XT.  I’m fully confident in his abilities and heard he’s getting even better.  This might sound crazy but he may be better than Bryant, even right now.  His sacks/snap rate was about the same as Bryant.  Bryant had a torn pec for half the year but it’s still a good sign for XT.

He didn’t get credit for this play which is basically a double team sack.  https://giphy.com/gifs/line-defense-defensive-tK0FTyO8O4wrCqogkq

I’m pretty confident in Pinkney too.  He got nearly as many snaps as Huggie.

VT has a crazy amount of projected starters healing from injuries - which is the main reason Coach Fu moved the start of Spring practice back a couple of weeks. Defense should be a lot more experienced this year, but I’m taking a wait-and-see attitude as far as how good they’ll be.
