Tim Brewster leaving for Florida. Apparently he had name out, and when UF came Mack Brown said no more money. He just got a raise a couple months ago for flirting with aTm. It’s business, but Brewster was all about UNC when he came and plans to make his home there when he retires. I am neither sad or upset. Just have to go get a TE coach who recruits well.

Brewster is a good coach and excellent recruiter but Mack will find a capable replacement. Coaches want to work for Mack and although UNC is not a premier football destination, working with Mack adds lots of credibility to a resume. You guys won’t miss a beat

Rumors are Chad Morris from Kentucky, who used to work at UNC. Maybe Alge Crumpler, who played for UNC and the Atlanta Falcons. MB brought in Dre Bly, who had no college coaching experience. He may do it again. Crumpler would have NO problem walking into a house to recruit.

Now reading John Lilly of Cleveland Browns, formerly from UGa and FSU. Seems like a great hire. He was first to interview. We will see. It’s up to Mack Brown, and I think he knows what he’s doing.

It’s Lilly. Upgrade over Brewster, in my opinion. In past jobs at college he’s stayed a long time, and has a very, very successful history recruiting in North Carolina for FSU and UGa.

I don’t know much about him, but I looked him up, and he seems like a good hire. Brown has a lot of connections and is well respected and well-liked, so I think working under him would be an attractive position.
