Now that the SEC and BIG have made their moves to become super conferences, it looks like the ACC won’t be able to make anywhere near to tv money that the SEC and BIG will be making.

I have a feeling several ACC schools are trying to figure out of the grant of rights deal that has ACC schools locked until 2036. I imagine if enough teams decide to leave and the ACC dissolves that would end the agreement.

Who goes where?

I don’t see the ACC surviving with clemson and fsu maybe miami the only members that care about football.

Jim Phillips doesn’t have a clue and the long term GOR is a killer.

The big prizes are actually UNC and UVA

I see all the conferences standing pat unless ND makes a move.

Maybe time to take down the 1969 ACC championship since that is your only one ever…cause you know it “sux” and all.

As fan that truly only cares for UNC… I’m not too worried about this. UNC will be fine. If I had my choice if they were forced it would be the SEC. I still think UNC is a southern university. Of course, the academic side would make a big push for the BIG. Alas, that GOR would need 8 schools to vote to change it.

Like I said UNC and UVA are the really wanted schools out of the ACC but UNC won’t leave.

UNC actually had offers from the SEC and Big in 2013, before the present GOR was ratified. The AD and chancellor there at the time was just bad luck. If the same presented itself today UNC would definitely go. I agree there’s nothing the ACC can do to fix the income disparity. UNC has a lot of sports it sponsors. The only catch would be if the prospective conference offered those sports.
