It’s so bad the Memphis fans were chanting ACC…ACC…ACC

The Big East will have 6 in the Sweet 16. That would be 6 out of the 7 teams in the tourney. My boys BLEW IT!!

If UNC or Duke loses you all are going to get hammered in hoops too.

So what. I don’t root for the ACC. I root for UNC. Things are looking bright in a whole lot of sports there. I mean a whole lot.

Seriously, I’m an FSU fan, not ACC fan. It’s funny a wv fan is running his mouth when his team was the first out from the conference. You going to be cheering on your rival Pitt from here on out?

Actually there is nothing (smart a$$) about my initial thread. Just watch the games, the announcers are talking about it ALOT. But in your attempt to continually take shots at me you have to turn the thread in that direction.

If you must know the truth, I was planning on cheering on FSU as my second fav of the tourney but that’s out now…

You know what I’d like to say to you is your without question the most narrow minded poster on this site. Your a donkey’s butt….. but of course I’d never say that to you. That would be disrespectful. And, I’m always respectful to the less in the know. About anything!

Memphis fans…whoooooaaaaaaaaa. All 500 of them. City Colleges dont intimidate me. Calipari was too scared to come to NCSU because he knew he couldn’t hack it. He would much rather hang out in cupcake Conference USA and BTW Maryland was #7 into the tourney. Memphis should have won that game.

Don’t get too cocky TBE. The ACC still beat the Big East head to head… and never has lost the Big Ten Beatdown so we are doing just fine. I have said all along that the Big East had more top teams and the ACC was better top to bottom.

Carolina and Duke have a good chance to continue playing for another couple of weeks and that is what was expected.

I’ve noticed that you have used that but the ACC beat the BE head to head. I have a question…..

Who in the ACC beat Uconn, Pitt, Louisville, Syracuse, Marquette, Villanova or WVU?

awesome that is the exact same argument you poo-poo when you brag the big east beat the worst teams in the acc but did not beat or play vt, fsu, bc, etc.

so which is it, you can’t have both sides of the argument.

So you saying FSU, VT, BC are elite teams? lol In hoops there is no question the teams I listed with the exception of WVU are elite college hoops teams. As witnessed when 7 teams were ranked inside the top 24. In the ACC in football do you have an elite team? A team that can win it all? NO! not even close. So when the ACC beats the Syracuses and UConn’s of the BE it’s not the same. YOU KNOW THAT.

Now, I didn’t post this thread in the smack talk forum but I’m game for it. It wasn’t my intention with the initial post. That was until a typical FSU fan throws poop at me.

The facts are facts I guess. And if you don’t think the ACC is taking it on the chin in this tourney your beyond being in a bubble. Your on MARS and not watching any of the games. I’ve said many times the BE and the ACC are the top two hoops leagues. And, I still think that. But the ACC is not the BE. Not even close. I’ll tell you what. When the ACC gets 3 ONE SEEDS and the rest of the league no lower than a 6 SEED then bring your smack. Until then just be glad I’m not talking smack. Which I won’t. That’s the old totallybigeast. He’s evolved….lol

quette, cuse and nova are not elite, if they win the whole thing they could be.

this might be the year the big east puts a couple teams in the final 4, they rarely do that.  heck, in general for a conference power of 16 teams they don’t go to near as many final 4’s as they should.

acc is taking it on the chin, i have mentioned that.  oh well, i realize you read what you want and b.s. bout 80% of your posts your way, that’s always been your way.

if unc wins it all, all is well.  i dont’ think they will but all is well if they do.

Syracuse is elite. Villanova is close And neither has to win anything. They are what they are just as Kansas, UNC, Duke, UCLA, UConn, Louisville and Pitt. Elites….this year, next year and always.

Syracuse is elite. Villanova is close.

cuse has been, but not since they won it all.  both are close.

pitt needs elite 8 or they aren’t elite, since historically they underachieve in the tourney.  at some point you gotta prove it.

Syracuse could lose today just like UNC could and they still would be elite. It’s Syracuse….... always has and always will be and attract the cream of crop. Villanova needs to win some more but they too are very. Regionally they are considered elite. Nationally they are considered very good…..

I would say in hoops the elites are UCLA, Kansas, UNC, Duke, Syracuse, UConn, Kentucky, Louisville and maybe Pitt but I’m not so sure.. they have won alot recently but they had down years and didn’t even make the tourney. Arguments can made for Wake, Georgetown, Villanova, and GT. I say GT because they win under the radar and have a great program. They just need a coach who can coach and not just recruit.

Why not? They’ve got just as good if not a better chance than anyone left in the field. I don’t think LSU was the equivalent of an 8 seed. They were better. UNC bascially took the game from them when it mattered most. Down the stretch UNC played their game, hit their shots, and stopped LSU from scoring. That’s all anybody has to do to win the entire tournament. UNC has shown to have the guards to win. The big guys aren’t that bad, either.

1st, without a national championship in the last 20 yrs you can’t be in cat 1 or 2.  3rd category is really, really good but no rings, pushing to be in no. 2.  i am sure i will miss some team or 2.

historical elite (more than just 15-20 yrs of good, can take a yr or 3 of being down)
unc
kentucky
doook
ucla
kansas
indiana (even if down, they’ve earned this)

current and coming close to above
uconn (very close to moving up)
florida (if nothing in next 3-4 yrs they move down)
michigan st (almost, almost moved down)

currently as good as it gets
pitt
looeyville
gonzaga

not elite but needs to be more consistent or go to multiple final 4’s in a short span to be in above group (likely missing a lot of teams here)
arizona (3 yrs ago they were up 1)
wake
georgetown (was very close to being up but this year killed that)
maryland (moved down a couple yrs ago)
washignton
nova

feel free to criticize, haha, like you always do or add.
