It matters because from the last game until the end of the bowl game you are one of perhaps 2 or 3 teams without a loss. And your wrong again thinking they were special only to bowl season. The fact we recruited off those years for well, years. It’s a big deal to go undefeated in your regular season. A big deal…. and our loss in the Fiesta Bowl was awful since Major got hurt the 3rd play of the game in our loss to Notre Dame.
Big difference having one loss at seasons end THEN verses one loss now. And a bigger difference NOW going unbeaten in your regular season verses then. Lots more chatter now via internet and ESPN etc now adays. Hopefully we will get to experience that again soon and finish the deal. If you know what I mean….
