I grill every saturday that I’m not at the game. Anybody else? Anybody got something new I can try? I usually do some kind of chicken, hamburgers/hotdogs, or steak.
shisk kabobs are always fun… tomatoes, onions, green peppers, and some kind of meat. or kielbasas to make sauerkraut and mustard dogs. i need to buy a new grill, haven’t been able to do it in far too long.
Shrimp, pineapple, green pepper and onion… grill it, serve it over rice with a side of light cheeses and of course a nice white wine… perferably a sparkling Cava from Artesa in Napa Valley…...
We do a Low Country Boil at least one game out of the year (This is while tailgating not at home however). Its usually around the GaTech/USC time of the year when things start cooling off. Always have a big turn out for it. Two big pots going at once.
When you’re grilling chicken do you ever do a “beer can chicken”? Half a can of beer with chpped up onions with the chicken sitting upright on top of it. Rub Montreal Seasoning on the chicken. It’s good.
For Noon games, I like orange juice and champaigne. Always a winner. Can’t go wrong with Bloody Mary also.
Football is the greatest game ever. I love fridays, saturdays, sundays, mondays and some wensdays and thursdays…if I had more money and less work I would tailgate for every game played…lol
I am not big on the crawfish in the low country boil .... but some peel and eat shrimp, mini ears of corn, some good sausage and potatoes, with some good spicy seasoning thrown in… awesome.
We have a guy that brings this huge cooker/grill and he brings everything from stuffed pork loin and asparagus to hot sausage and corn. It varies every week. He owns several small grocery stores in the Albany area so he just goes to the one of his choosing and raids the meat market.
