i feel as though this thread has gone on a tangent… from do you believe in dinosaurs to now creationism…...  The fact is even evolutionists cant explain how all this got here it didn’t just happen. my take… what that has to do with dinosaurs i don’t know. But as another poster said… Secualarists take the bible word for word and try to force it into an idea. as earlier stated it says it took seven days now does that mean 7 days as we thnk of it or 7 billion years who knows. I think it is more for an understanding of the order in which creationism took place etc…  They way I see it is this… in the bible it says god made the animals it does say what he made it simply says he made the animals… now that probably wasn’t dogs cats etccc.  but Dinosaurs are obviously animals.

Sure they can explain how it all got started…. it’s called the Big Bang Theory.

Again that is their theory not fact…. it all comes down to where did that orginal matter come from and they can’t tell you.  I good movie on this is Ben Steins movie expelled where it shows how creationists are given no quarter amongst scientific academia.  They area where all possibilities are examined excludes one possibility.

There probably isn’t a big pool of money for grants to research creationism, because there’s no research!  To simply say “it is what it is because a divine being said so” doesn’t offer anything intellectual which could be exploited for future research (note: I’m not saying creationism isn’t intellectual).  It just lends nothing to curiosity.  Curiosity is what drives scientists, so it’s not surprising that they are kind of exclusive in this regard.

Where did the atoms that magically collided to start the “Big Bang” come from?

Yea I am pretty sure no one on earth knows that one.  And how in the world did they collide with all that effing space out there?  Just some bad luck for the atoms that turned in for some good luck for all of us.

The big bang theory does not describe the universe prior to the “bang”.  Thus it says nothing about atoms colliding, because for them to collide, they have to exist prior to the bang.  The big bang theory only describes what has happened since the “bang”.  There are many theories about what the universe was doing prior to the “bang”... but with no way to see what is going on, it’s all mental masturbation.

Could it possibly be that science is the explanation of God’s ways?

I wish more people thought that way instead of putting them at odds with each other.
